As city centres go it's pretty woeful in terms of a night out Why would anyone go when they can spend their money elsewhere and get a more enjoyable experience? The Sunbridge Wells should a red warning light for anyone daft enough to think of investing, especially in the leisure and food and drink industry.
In other cities that place has a real chance of working, it's uniqueness would add to a place like Liverpool or Newcastle where people flock for a night of entertainment with friends. But Bradford after dark is not a nice place to be, some would say before that too.
If talking to someone who mentions they've been or a going on a night out it's always somewhere else, Leeds, Manchester, even smaller places like Halifax or niche places like Saltaire.
What's the old saying? You can't polish a turd.

It's today been confirmed that £10m of council money is being ploughed into this folly. That will be £10m minimum I would guess as when the funding runs out with months left of the year to run they will have to keep events going.

So £10m+ being spaffed up for this culture thing whilst asking the rates payer to pay 15% more.

Has anyone seen the video the Harrogate fan posted of the walk to Valley Parade? He snuck through a ginnel near the ground, absolutely filthy and full of fly tipping - embarrasing.

Who is leaving their filth on our streets?

It's behind the food production warehouse (Ayesha foods and Sals Pizza), next to the Burlington Street car park.
It was a Grimsby Town fan who posted it but it's got City fans in the video??

Yes and it doesn't take a genius to workout who the likely culprits will be. Drive across the UK as I do and you know what areas are more a crap hole than others and which communities live close by. Sadly it's a way of life for some.

I've seen it but in all honesty the paths and roads around our stadium are a disgrace.
Take Midland Road for example overgrown trees, poor lighting vast amounts of litter blowing around and a road surface not fit for purpose even the markings have seen better days.
The area doesn't present itself to home fans let alone away fans in a good light
Basically the song Bradfords a shithole is perfect and warranted in my opinion.

I reported the overhanging trees to the Council a while back. Their response was to ask me whose land the trees are on. How is any member of the public supposed to know that? Basically not interested in dealing with the issue.

I see the T&A are reporting that the council are not giving a date when the Darley Street market will be open and the market traders are going nuts.

    Another ARS shitshow.

Disgusting what some people think is acceptable when it comes to our streets and alleyways. Have some pride in this city.

I'm amazed it's taken this long for that little snicket to go viral online. It's been in that sorry state for well over a decade now.

As you say, it's been like that for ages. What's worse is it's literally 300 yards as the crow flies to an actual tip on Midland Road.

I see this stuff all the time visiting parents and going to work as I travel over country roads towards Denholme and Menston. That's where you tend to find fly tipping out in the sticks, not bag in the centre of the City.
