Brian & Jason run a great venue as you say, we've been there several times to see bands, in fact were there again late December to see The Fabs.

It’s in Duke Street, behind what was the old M&S store on Darley Street, hence the name.
It’s being used as a venue for various City of Culture events.
I saw the Bill Bailey Extraordinary Portraits exhibition there in the spring, which was excellent.

Broadway for sale if anyone wants it?

£74m, yet cost £264 to build.

Is the guy still on here or claret and banter who said all it needed was a designer watch shop to save him and others going to Leeds

As many have said its a dying City centre, anyone wanting to buy quality goods only have to travel 10 miles down the road and they have a selection of shops selling top gear, I take no pleasure in saying that.

It's going to end up as one big food court at the rate it's going. Just think of all the chicken shops and burger joints you could fit in there.

Having recently been to Liverpool and last week had the pleasure of spending an afternoon and evening in Newcastle, it makes you realise just how bad Bradford a city centre is for what is apparently a big city in the UK. Not talking about the outskirts of the district here, just what entails the city centre itself. Walk a couple of mates away from City Hall and there is absolutely nothing of note other than utter depravation. Paving the entire thing is akin to smearing lipstick all over the pigs face, it's still one of if not the worst city centre in the country but there again I'm not a massive UK city fan, the cities on mainland Europe so much better to visit and explore

Its only when you get out and about you realise what a vile dump it is :( been to both of them Cities you mentioned and both crap on that doss hole in fact i have been to places that years ago where so called dumps and each and everyone of them still puts that shithole to shame.

The problems is older ones knew what is was like compared to know i remember Ivegate was always packed with shoppers on a Saturday compared to now :(
I think the only time the pubs etc make any money is when City have a home game

Bradford nightlife in the 80s was 2nd to none when seemed like a new wine bar/venue opening every week and the ivegate run to warm up, then a wide choice of nightclubs to hit, every night was busy. Had to have your wits about you but reasonably safe compared to now

Few of them youtube vloggers going around Bradford on a night time really is depressing to see how bad it really is
