Booing City

The more we hear about this announcement the more it transcends in something as monumental as Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech.

 

Either the majority of the forum don't attend the games or a few lied to make themselves appear more righteous than what they are.

Seemed fairly conclusive tonight, that the vast majority had a right old boo

 

To be fair there was hardly anyone left in the ground at full time-so I expected they wanted to stay to vent their frustration.

 

Same I left so as not to hear booing

Did those booing see Hartlepool's away record before tonight then did they see the support their fans gave

Imagine that was us our fans would be.moping and booing and expecting us to win every game

Our fans are embarrassing and our support really is whatever Hartlepool said it was

 

What does that make you as a fan leaving early?

From what I’ve read on threads of tonight’s and Saturdays game we have not even shown up as a team
Derek needs to get some kind of team spirit going or it’s a season wasted . I don’t take fordys or rc comments seriously but could they be proved right come may ?

Sensible. I left as soon as the third went in to avoid the urge to boo. I can put up with a defeat if we have given it a good go, but last night there wasn't a single player in white who deserved clapping off or was even fit to wear a Bradford City shirt.

Very little effort, even less ability. Our regression goes on. The problem is we live in expectation rather than hope and that is killing us as much as the lies of our 12 year old CEO and MIA owner.

Hartlepool may have great support, but they have been lower and their expectation is to stay in this league. Their fans travelled last night for a good day out. Our fans travel expecting to see a win.

 

Bang on. Starting with the summer recruitment of cripples, amoeba's and faint hearted players, followed closely by a CEO that has blatantly lied to boost season ticket sales and an owner who was last seen performing in Abba.

Hartlepool has a population of 90,000.
Bradford is the 10th biggest city in England with a population of ~600,000

Hartlepool has spent the last 4 years in the non leagues and has never played at a higher level than the 3rd tier.
They're also above us in the league.

So you're comparing apples and oranges. A better hypothetical, would be City in the top half of the championship despite a poor away record, still getting a great following. Which is exactly what we would get, if ever that scenario comes back around.

The one contingent who deserve nothing but praise, is our supporter base. In fact, we haven't been touch enough with the shit show we've endured over recent years.

Would you just praise them no matter how shit they were? It's healthy to show moderate disapproval so they're aware we're not happy, and it ought to motivate them more to improve.

If we just clapped and said well done after every 1-3 loss do you think they'd be as motivated to put it right?

If I was a player, and the people paying my wage were unhappy at the job I was doing, it would certainly motivate me to try harder next time, but if they were happy then it's easy for players to think they're putting in an acceptable showing.
