Has anyone been tempted by the replacement Bingley Music Festival being run at the rugby club?

Looks expensive offering without a list of acts

Festivals are best watched on the telly. For nothing. I never understand the appeal in spending 3 days in filth.

For an extra £50 you get to use the toilets in the club house

I know two of the acts, both have played BML a few years ago, a band in 2010 and a female singer in 2014.

Doesn’t sound like they are current big names if they played BML 5/9 years ago

One’s an oldish act the other is a current, had loads of songs out this last year or so, imagine they would’ve been close to headlining BML.

Probably just the BML Line up as it is being organised by the company that were organising BML

Sounds very similar to the weekend I spent with a lass from Buttershaw.

James was the 2010 act I mentioned, confirmed this morning, the other name not released yet (was told in confidence so won’t say who for now).
I noticed Echo and the Bunnymen are ANOTHER band to have played Bingley already, is it so common for a small/medium sized shows to repeat the same performers so frequently? Guessing the booking company use only their acts (is that even a thing?!)?

Yep small festivals have similar/same acts on over a period usually a few years in between.

Can honestly say I wasn’t too impressed but a lot of people are.

I think it will do well especially if they announce a biggish name as main headliner. The issue could be with the small details such as around the camping, apparently when booking the early bird tickets there was nothing about if it was for a tent or a camper van, they are now sorting out where the camper vans will go and having to contact everyone to find out if they have a van.

Line up is a bit underwhelming, although Idles are looking like they might be a bit special.
