Done an acca on us to be promoted with a team in the other leagues too for a fun interest. Tenner would pay a grand in Coral!

    Palace to be relegated
    West Brom to be promoted
    Ipswich to be promoted
    Bantams to be promoted

Adams has left a good impression here and like the fact we did our signing early.

Palace have lost Woy and let a lot of players leave. They performed like relegation fodder last year, Eze is injured, and Vieira looks a dodgy appointment based on a moderate managerial record in the MLS and Ligue One. West Brom are just a yoyo club and new manager turned Barnsley into a cracking team last year. Ipswich look the dodgy leg but Paul Cook is a decent manager and they’ve made a few good signings.

You can get an eachway double. I got 55/1 on city & Wrexham as champions. Pays three places on the each way

How does that work? Full odds if both finish as champions and quarter odds on their part of the double if one or both finish second or third?

Yes but if both are champions then both bits of the bet pay out and both stakes are returned so effectively a £1 ew double could pay approx £70 back

Assuming 10/1 and 4/1 respectively, those odds are quoted to win the leagues, that is for both teams to win leagues.

The odds for if either (or both) team fail to win league but finish in top 3 is 6/1 (5/2 City and Evens Wrexham)

What odds did you get respectively, may I ask?

Don't know Dave, I'm not a betting man so if I fancy a flutter I just ask my business partner to do it through his online account. All t know is combined it was 55/1 and it pays (I think) 3 places for city and four for wrexham

Sounds about right. So £63.66 if both win league or £7.33 if one (or both) fails to win league (place odds being 3/1 and 5/6)

Not the greatest odds in the world but double your money and a bit extra. I just can't see how this loses, backing city of course

Considering we’ve only had 1 promotion in 22 years I’m not sure why so many are so certain we’re going up.

With that way of thinking nobody would have bet on Leicester winning the prem in 2016(admittedly the odds were ridiculous and hard to ignore) or Wigan winning the fa cup in 2013 amongst other things.
Nobody is ever “certain” when they place a bet.
That’s why it’s called gambling and not “certaining”.
Most of the bets placed on teams to win titles are made with one thing in mind-pure loyalty to your team.
I don’t think “city can’t be champions because they’ve only had 1 promotion in the last 22 years”
My bet I posted earlier in the thread is based on nothing but my love for city.
The fact that there seems so much more positivity around the club is obviously giving the fans a more positive attitude and a few of us are having a flutter.
I’m in a lucky position of having a bit of disposable income that I can gamble with.
If I win fine,if not also fine.
As long as that’s the case I’m more than happy to have a few quid on us to be champions.

Bets like this is one reason why Denise Coates could buy City with a week’s salary.
