Does an app exist for the forum rather than the browser.
Checked on Google play store can't find anything.
    Any advice appreciated

There isn't an app because the forum is available in mobile view so don't see how an app would benefit unless you can explain differently

With modern responsive web design apps are something that is no longer needed as a sites adapt to the devices screen size.

To have an app you either need to
    1. create the app yourself which takes a fair amount of time to do (and you have to do it twice one for Android and one for iOS as the method to code the apps is different) and that requires a developer account (one for each platform) to be able to submit it for listing on the App Store (which costs hundreds of pounds a year). You then need to keep it updated as the OS changes and as you need to design for different phones you need a wide range of across different sizes, different hardware and different OS versions to ensure compatibility. Its also another avenue for hackers to attack
    2. Use something like Tapatalk. Tapatalk though bypasses all our spam protection, adds in security holes, removes our branding, prevents many plugins we use from working puts their own ads on the site instead of(That never used to be a problem as they paid out a decent percentage of what they made to the sites but thats reduced and getting an actual cash payout is hard. They push you to take it as Tapatalk credits which all you can do is use it on Tapatalk features. They charge users to remove ads but the site see hardly any of that
