I don't have a problem either way @1975citygent@1975citygent fans decide if they want to go or not attend away games for many reasons, but for a fellow poster to say he doesn't go to away games and then to criticise our away following is a little rich IMO, but as you say and I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, unfortunately when it's shared on a forum then expect it to be challenge by posters with a different view.

Didn't see that coming. Fair play, an excellent win and performance.

Ive read some stuff on here but that post is a corker. We completely nullified an in form side on their own patch and could have scored 5 in a 3-1 win. But we weren't the better side? Speechless.

Well, this kind of shows why there's no point throwing the toys out of the pram.

The season is probably going to be a roller coaster right until the end, some are inevitably going to ride every peak and trough on a fully emotional level but it's probably not going to be very good for their hearts to get so worked up!

Given our current (lack of) consistency, FGR at home is probably going to be a dour 0-0! :joy:

Adams has a good track record but that doesn't mean he gets everything right. We've needed two upfront for weeks now, Cook has looked a lost soul playing on his own. I was impressed with his mamagement today but have been less impressed with the last few weeks. Hopefully this might be a start of a decent run.

Off to bed but have to say we'll done to DA for today. He picked the team up after Tuesday, made changes that worked and in my eyes did what we have been crying out for him to do - he really showed his management acumen rather than telling us about it!

So pleased for him, the player's and the fan's who gave fantastic support. One last word on Derek, still think he a bit of a weird one ;) (but could yet grow to love him!)

If I lived in Grimsby I’d be looking to leave it as often as possible as well.

Nice to see Canavan back and two upfront. Lavery took his goal well and is up for it. His blocked volley also looked lively.

Sutton, I just love his running. None of our other CMs score that goal as they don’t burst forward as he does.

keep going and hold on lads.

Fantastic performance today, everyone playing their hearts out. And plaudits to Adams for his selection. Two things stand out for me, namely how different the defence looks when Canavan is there and how we look a different side with two up front. Specially pleased for Lavery and Robinson whom most people, including me, had written off. Let's hope we can build on this.

Quite right Faithful. Anything but parking the bus, broke forward and attacked at every opportunity.

I don’t agree with the statement we parked the bus. We were quite happy to let them have possession but for all they passed it along the back four, did they actually hurt us?

look at the xG (we ‘beat’ them 2.0 v 1.2).

0.7 or so of theirs came from Payne’s penalty though and we comfortably had the better of them. They didn’t create much of note. Can only really remember the O’Donnell camera save from a header off top of my head.

we took our chances and deservedly won.

for me ‘park the bus’ means scumming a win when the other team batters you, you nick a goal on the break and then hold on for dear life in a game you didn’t deserve to win on balance.

possession is a meaningless statistic in football these days.

Just had a read of the last 20 pages and not had any insight to the goals, formation, general play (prior to this morning) until seeing the highlights and reading the comments above.

Well, a little bit of knowledge gained but.....

From @banbrotam@banbrotam v @Botswana Bantam@Botswana Bantam on Gilliead, to parking the bus, to complimentary comments on Adams/to not so complimentary comments on Adams, to Lavery and Robinson and two up front, it's a genuinely great way to start a Sunday morning, with coffee and a sausage sarnie in hand.

That read was a pure delight, entertaining and head scratching alike, so thank you fellow City fans whom contributed. Just another day, eh being a City fan!!!!

    In closing, my favourite quote...

One sentence perfectly illustrating what football should be about.

    Have a good day all.

No as you say you don't go and that's fine, but don't then knock those who do, even if its single figures, they loyally attended the game to support their team and got rewarded for it, good for them.

Or go out for the day and do something enjoyable then catch up with the result later once you've got home.

It seems hard to justify wasting a good chunk of Saturday at the minute.

Yet Robinson has played nearly 150 in the championship. I'm not saying his signing was what we needed and we shouldn't be signing a player that another league 2 club doesn't want but we cannot start with the same line up as we have been doing. Robinson has to offer more than what Gilliead has been and we need support upfront for an isolated Cook.

Just makes you wonder,….. I mean not all fans are local to Bradford and some of us log on here to get snippets of info. Instead I’m properly wasting my life having anything to do with Bradford City reading the above. 47 years since I sat on my late Dads shoulders in the Bradford End and spent an absolute fortune enjoying the opera of the working class. Today though is full of keyboard warriors talking nonsense how’s about getting out and supporting your team. I’ve managed it from Afghanistan, the Middle East etc for a bit of enjoyment in life. Never once thought we could eclipse Man City but as far as I’m aware there’s a guy across the water who’s funding our weekly fun. Maybe he needs to stop so you can enjoy your weekend somewhere else. ???

You've been watching games with your eyes closed if you don't think its obvious that Vernam is better than Gilliead. It isn't even close.
