Sorry Petrov I don't think I said you were did I.

But if you read through the posts and listened to the Radio Leeds commentary team there is absolutely a sense of avoiding open discussion about all of the things that lead to the defeat. The poor substitution and tactical naivety. Which by the way has been a hallmark of McCall managerial career.

Understand where you’re coming from but I’d take that way around every day rather than Bowyer who defended from the start.

I do thing the subs created a negative mindset for us and we should have held our nerve for longer. Our away form will inevitably kill our promotion chances this season.
The next 4 or 5 games will see us drop out of contention in my opinion if we don’t sort it out. It’s make or break time now, if you look at the next set of 5 fixtures

He could have kept the 4411 if he had pushed up O’Connor into midfield and Paudie at the back. It would have provided a bit more of a solid midfield. I am not going to condemn him for a tactical error he hasn’t had time to assess this flabby squad.

????? I was answering a post from NC - he was the one that mentioned tiptoeing around the issue.

Yes he did, but who else did he have on the bench or even in the stands that could have held the midfield together? Rather than change the system.

Pritchard for Middleton. Akpan was tiring for sure but better to keep him there just to get a foot in.

Out of genuine interest when Paudie came on he replaced McCarten, who I believe was not playing in midfield, how did the substitution create a gaping hole in our midfield when no midfielders had been removed? The formartion was 5-4-1.
Where is the gap in midfield?

A huge Akpan sized hole. He was knackered by about 60 minutes.

Yes, I know he's poor and to be fair the midfield cupboard is both well-stocked and bare. But it can't be denied that the game changed significantly when Paudie came on. He's just the latest in an enormously long line of players who come to us with good track records and highly thought of but turn out to be useless for us. And, conversely, there are those who are useless for us and go on to be great elsewhere. This has been going on for so long that there must be some fundamental explanation. I just think that we're a club that's very naive in the football world and consistently just don't get managerial appointments or player signings right.

Could be all down to to the coaching set up the team can't do the basics. It all went downhill when McCall was sacked by Rahic. Then we had Collins /Drury then Drury /Greyson then Drury /Hopkins and then Drury /Bowyer is there something we're missing.

I’m not having this ‘let the manager have time to get his own team’ crap again. You can’t give every manager this excuse. McCall has inherited a squad before and got them playing decent football. Admittedly it was a better squad but it’s clear where the faults are and hopefully Stuart can see where the issues are to resolve them with the squad he has at the minute. We have enough players to be able to compete for a play off position this season.

That's true. However it wasn't that long ago that we were on the verge of the championship. At the very least we were a decent and solid league one side. Then it all went to pot and rather quickly too.

I have to back this up by saying that the occasions, rare as they might be, that when we gain a promotion or a giant killing or even win a game, I feel a foot taller. Or at least a few quid better off.

What did we all think of the new lad on the left wing? Unfortunately for him, DMH was playing decent first half, so most of the ball was down the right.
Seemed a bit lightweight and suprised by the physical style of league 2. Had one good run, but sadly couldn't find an end product.
Was a shame DMH seemed to disappear in the second half. He was a good and dangerous outlet.
