    Had a decent firm back in the day. Remember missiles being thrown from the beach area to away fans on one trip.

    I remember city fans taunting Grimsby fans
    with a song about "only sing when your fishing",
    due to their quiet demeanour.Then at one point,
    with nothing going on during match,they all started
    cheering in that odd ball elevated stand to left of
    away end and I assumed someone had caught a fish...

    Blundell Park is the lowest ground in the Football League at less than 1 metre above sea level; after that, the only way is up.

    Our penultimate away league match will see us make our first visit to the New Lawn (Forest Green Rovers) which, at 165 metres above sea level, is the second highest ground in the Football League.

    I was heavily involved with a Refrigeration update installation (For the Co-op) in the late 1980's, in Forest Green. No surprise, looking back, where they got their name from ..... A very 'Leafy' place to be.
    How things change ? The Club was little above a Pub team, in those days .... Fast forward to 2019 !!

    Also interesting to know their landscape elevation ....... I NEVER knew that !! ;)

    Very low Ronnie, the river is very close. Funnily enough in addition to the ground being low level they have been reducing the height of the floodlights by a third this week so two pylons next to that towering stand will be about the same height as the top seats now.

    I remember going as a youngster, only 1 coach and after game it got surrounded by idiots. The big lads on the coach stuck me on the floor between seats and covered me with coats just in time for the bricks to start flying!
