Lots of talk about travel and where to listen to City matches on the wireless this season, not much talk about the actual match.

It's always one of the best days of the year for me, the start of a new season, shame we are not at home, however after 18 months without attending Valley Parade, I'm sure we can cope for another week for the homecoming

Despite Exeter losing their star player this week, we couldn't really have had a much tougher start to the season.

Really impressed with how Adams has gone about things in the 2 months since he arrived and I think he has us better prepared for a new season than we have seen for many a year.

I am predicting a score draw today, and I would be very happy with that.

Just the keeper you got wrong, I would have gone with your line up obviously Adams thinks ROD is the right selection today.

This keeper kit would have been a far better 3rd kit than the blue one in my opinion

It does seem that for all the forward options we have, scoring goals will still be the key challenge.

 

Overall play decent. Doesnt react well to pressure. Shit his pants on a couple of occasions and blew our chance of taking lead.

That's been him all preseason. Fantastic work outside the box and then just falls apart whenever he goes inside it.

I think these states say it all pretty even game all round :

 

Match fitness I guess. Was never going to be a dominant game for either side.
My same views still stand from last season: no creativity in midfield, no off the ball runs from our forwards, and no strength in depth on the bench.

 

Pace often is the difference and can break deadlocks in tight games especially if direct,

Seems the striker off the bench is what we’re missing , hopefully accelerate progress on that.
