Interesting comment on the Cheltenham forum amongst the usual negatives after a team has lost (sound familiar?) was this one: 'Have we put the right shirts on today? Bradford look like us on a good day. We look like a team that’s being battered by us!'

Remember like ourselves they are very much an in form team but rather than over worry about them, we mirrored their strengths and then utilised our own positives to give us the edge

 

It’s been 2 to 3 years since I could say roll on Saturday, simply can’t come quickly enough.

 

Give it a rest Fordy, We have no divine right to win every game, just because we are Bradford city.
This will be a tough match , away to the team third in the league who are in good form , will always be hard, even if you are top of the league. All fans are hopefull of a victory and a point would not be bad either. Its not about being scared, its being realistic. We cant all be Man city in this world.

 

I would have taken a point today which I think most would have if they are honest

 

I tell you what, today was a performance I feel like I’ve watched so many opponents play against us and it feels good to be on the other side.

We were far away from world beaters today, but for the first 25mins we looked like a very good TEAM.

All I’ve wanted to see from the club for years now is a spine of a team, and we seem to seeing small glimpses of that, even when we still can’t call our best GK and CF. Canavan is a great addition and the 3 in midfield look like totally different players. My only worry is an injury to any of them.

We work like a team. Play like a team for each other. Battle as a team. Win as a team and seem to, so far, step up to the challenge as a team. Is this really Bradford City????

 

I agree actually, games against the top half are free hits for us now. Realistically our goal is 16 more points in 20 games even then we might not need that to stay up. Cheltenham probably need double that or more to achieve their goal. Let’s go and play with no fear in every game and see where we end up because realistically it shouldn’t be bottom two.

 

It's a free hit really after all the good results recently. We have nothing to fear. Let's give it a shot!

Them on the other hand will look at our recent form and see the match as a real test and a concern that a draw or a loss will see them dropping places.

Let's start well and quickly and get them worried.

 

As soon as I see Man City quoted I know where the conversation is heading. I actually agree with Fordys general point, there isn't one stand out team in the whole division, if we play to our potential we win. Management speak dictates that the press conferences will reference 'tough place to go' and 'no easy games' etc but in the dressing room there'll be none of that talk. This isn't the same team we watched roll over and have its belly tickled every other week, its a different animal, one that others are now very wary of. Talk of a point and other drivel, this team wants all three.

Absolutely brilliant result and great to see cook get off the mark.

 

This was always going to be the toughest challenge for T&S in their stewardship thus far - and we won! Gotta say the way they organized tactics for this game were spot on. They 'see things' and tweak constantly. Great win away at a side whose expectation is for the automatics. Well done, lads.

They had to change formation to try to get at us but that failed.

 

Once the better weather and better surfaces come around in spring, I think we’ll really see what this side is about. Some of the one touch stuff is a joy to watch.

 

It's the first time in three years hes been has here has there been anything like an organisational structure at the club. I don't think people appreciate just how important a business and football strategy are from the top down of that organisation. This should certainly be taken into account when looking at the offering of new contracts in the summer. Because 2 months ago the fans would have hardly offered any new contracts to any of them due to complete mismanagement from the owner and CEO for 4 years.

 

This'll be a counter attacking game plan for us, which is why Rowe has to start for me not Cook. He makes things happen. Cook, in the past, has been great getting on the end of things, but Rowe is exactly what you want up front against Cheltenham. Hard to mark, difficult to know what he's going to do next and creates things for himself.
