Exactly this. ^^^ priority card is for this season only and won’t be available next season. So all those chancers who buy one for £30 with no intention of attending ‘routine’ away games will be out of luck next season as they won’t have built up enough points. Rightly so the fans who trawl up and down the country week in week out will have the priority , not the two hats that throw £30 at it

Doesn't the away card give you 50 points buy buying it, so if you bought one and only went to 5 away games, then you will have amassed 10 away games worth of points from just 5 games?

That would give you a bit of a head start in the points system.

Agreed but not as many as the 500 odd fans who will have been to all 23 away games

But you don't need to have that many points to get tickets, the actual requirement is likely to be some distance from that. If an allocation is 2000 tickets then to meet the requirements you will probably fall into a group that are some distance of being at every game to get one.

Isn't it entirely possible that the people who bought one did it so they could be certain of a ticket for ALL the away games.
I know it seems a bit of a stretch to think that anybody that bought one does intend to use it for that purpose but stranger things have happened.

I think a fair few will have bought them for specific games rather than going to a lot of games

I've got one to make up for the season and a half I have missed.
I expect to be at most of them but not all. I actually wanted the opening game to be on the east side of of country as that is where I will be that week, I'll have to pass on the first game now as I could barely be further away that week.

For a start my daughter's ex boyfriend and his mate managed to get tickets and go, both support Liverpool and only go to VP very occasionally but got tickets because their mate worked for BCFC. I couldn't get two (both of us 25 yearers) because the ticket system said I'd bought two Millwall replay tickets and my friend hadn't bought one.

I cant remember the condition that we're required to get a Chelsea ticket and as I posted I went down to the ticket office to see if they were still selling priority tickets.
I was there when the ticket office opened I don't think anyone had given a thought to priority tickets so I got 3, I came home and logged into C&B and told anyone who wanted a priority to get down to the ticket office, around 30 minutes after I'd posted that they were taken off sale.

Well now that the club have finally introduced a true loyalty scheme it should prevent the chancers from gaining an advantage in future.
But I’m sure “I went to Wigan in the cup brigade” will shout from the rooftops when they can’t get an away ticket.
Watching on ifollow via a VPN is great but won’t give you any loyalty points

I bought one and will probably go to 20+ away games. Importantly though I’ll get one for Harrogate, Barrow and Sutton when it’s likely no more than 1000 tickets will be available

Yeah the issue was people were turning up and passing tickets to mates further down the queue. So the stewards had to go down the line and give you a card for how many tickets you had I think? Memory is a bit hazy

Funniest thing was when @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam 's arse fell out when he nearly didn't get a ticket for the Reading game after mocking people for being screwed over for Chelsea tickets.

If you include me in that caturgory as a chancer you haven't a clue.

It shouldn't be named loyalty I've done my watching Bradford City home & away over 65 years, now that's loyalty but if I can't make the odd long away game I'm less loyal , do me a favour.

Exactly the reason I bought ours, if they can accommodate us fine if not we get first dibs, but that's nothing to do with loyalty

What other term could they use if not loyalty?
Loyalty can be defined in many ways but usually it’s when someone sticks to the same product / person / activity for an extended period of time.
I do agree though that someone’s circumstances can change and 60 years of support shouldn’t count for nothing after 1 season of non attendance. Not sure there’s a system that can cater for that though.
Best the club can do is to ensure the current crop of fans travelling to away games don’t miss out.

Yes as you say what could it be called, I'm not asking for any acknowledgement with regards my time watching Bradford City it's just been a very big part of mine and my families life, they knew if we have a game I'm usually there, I'm sure there are many on here with similar mileage as me and others who will keep their alegence to our club and support us through thick & thin.
