That would have replaced something else. Ed confirmed that he could, if he wished, read PMs.

 

Maybe it was but Ed did confirm there was a way he could access messages if he wished.

I think the advice to people would be, don't put anything in a pm on here you'd be uncomfortable sharing with anyone other than the person it's intended for. If you must share something like that, use the pm facility to exchange email address details or phone number etc.

 

The point is Karl that you could if you wanted to and you'd be under no obligation to tell people if you were as your permissions are tucked away in the t&c when people sign up. The fact that you have no interest in seeing them is great. That's not to say that other sites that people are signed up on don't have interest in people's PMs. People are less vigilant on the internet than they should be. My advice doesn't apply exclusively to BantamTalk.
