    Anyone watch Celebrity Come Dine With Me? Yeah I know I know.

    Ashley Ward’s mrs was on there, and my word what a gaff. Wardy obviously done very well for himself after football. He made the most appearances for us during his career (84 games).

    Proper over the top house, which matches his wife. There was a full on salon room, with all sorts of sun beds and facial machines. I’m sure she’s not the only one using them!

    Owns a construction company I think? I think he's seriously wedged now all made post football. Think his company build luxury homes specifically so it doesn't surprise me. Swear I read somewhere his firm built the Rooney's house.

    Yeah had a look on wiki, he’s worth 140m!
    Owns luxury housing, including the property Rooney has/had.

    His place is how you can imagine, gold and diamond encrusted lion statues and a games room in the basement with a glass ceiling. Didn’t show the bedroom, but I imagine mirrors everywhere :)

    He gets knocked, but I thought he did alright for us.

    Really? Averaged one goal every five games, fell over a lot and won about as many free kicks as James Hanson, ie not many. As a replacement for Lee Mills he was pretty dire.

    Saw more of our keeper, than the oppositions, as he always seemed to play with his back to the other teams goal. In my opinion he was a ‘luxury’ player and not someone I have fond memories of.

    That's undoubtedly true. Fair play to him for that.
    I'm guessing he felt a bit guilty at trousering £18k pw to just stand with his back to goal and fall over a lot.

    Im not sure you'd describe Ward as a "luxury player"?

    Carbone maybe but not a target man type like Ward.

    To explain my thinking, when you had hard working forwards in Mills and Windass, then Ward in my view was somewhat of a luxury. In my opinion, perhaps with a faded memory, then he didn’t really put himself out or indeed about, as much as the others.
