Now I know this has been discussed before but I can not find it so I’ll ask again

my little lad is now 2.5 so will be 3 when new season starts.

what age did people start taking their kids. Looking for more recent examples rather than back in the 70s etc.

I know it will be a big ask for him and I don’t expect him to sit through every game etc. We have access to the suites so I can always take him in there if he gets really bored so he isn’t causing others an issue

Go for it, I have no experience but I reckon 3 is ok...mind you, he'll probably report you for child cruelty before he 's 4..!!

I started taking my daughter when she started taking a genuine interest at the age of 7. Hoping my Grandson will be ready when he is 4 or 5.

My Son and daughter in law told me that my 6 year old Grandson woke them up in the middle of the night to ask , “How old do you have to be before you can go to Bradford City”. Think we'll be taking him soon when allowed back.

I’d say wait till we have a much more stable club so he isn’t hearing the effing and jeffing which would be happening at the present time if we were allowed back in .

    See you in 2045

I’d say it comes down to a parent, I think you can take a child at any age, I was around 3 when my Dad started taking me knowing that I would hear some at times terrible language and even abuse towards people. It’s probably not as bad now, phones didn’t have a screen then let alone all the gadgets you can distract a child with if they get bored these days. All I’d say is if you don’t have an issue with them hearing bad language then go for it, because realistically they’ll hear it at football it’s unavoidable.

Wait until he's naughty then take him as punishment.

If it helps though I started taking both of mine at around 3 or 4 years of age. Like suggested above, plenty of sweets and take them down the steps to see Billy bantam or get signatures from the players if it's allowed.

We don’t seem to have much bad language around us, think most moved when my nephew was young so they didn’t get in bother.

Seriously, when Bradford City start to care for themselves then fine until then let the kid enjoy life.

Both my kids have been coming from the age of 3.
My oldest who is now 10 has loved it from day 1 and is a mad city fan and has now done plenty of away trips and the Millwall play off final .
My youngest who is now 5, wasn't to interested at first and only came when the wife was working, I brought his tablet to entertain him so ive stopped bringing him but he has just started asking I he can come again, I can't wait to get him back there.

I would say depends on your kids, my dad took me when I was 5 or 6 and I hated the noise. put me off for decades. Didn't quite get the noise. it was only until 2014 (at 19!!), when I got the bug. Funnily enough was the Leeds game that got me hooked! bought a season ticket ever since.

Bronco mate, you might want to reconsider the idea of 'plenty of spice'! I know what you're referring to in 'old money'. But in 'new money', Spice is a deeply addictive drug!!
