I want chants of RUPP OUT on Saturday! Mark Lawn no where near as rich but atleast our teams cared and we went at teams. No point have a rich guy if he won’t invest!

 

Yes because our owner will no longer spend money. Road to nowhere.

 

If we were genuinely a 'big club' then the only question would be, 'why don't we have one of, if not the biggest budget in the league'.

 

That is a different argument to saying we have a poor budget though.

 

That doesn't mean we have a poor budget in comparison to other L2 clubs.

Do you even know what the budget is? Do you know what the budgets of other clubs are?

 

Already been hinted by Adams is not up there with the best. He keeps saying “I got morecambe up with next to no money”.

 

True. I'd be keen to know where our budget sits compared to others. If guess 'average' would be the word.

 

The budget set was known at the beginning of the summer there was no secret. Adams used the budget to bring in player like Ridhalge Threlkeld Songo’o Kelleher sanctioning the re signing of Foulds and Cook.
He has stifled the progress of the young players like Staunton who showed so much promise last season and is guilty of favouritism.
Of course a bigger budget would be great but Adams took the job knowing the exact perimeters. Of course it’s very early doors and the club have failed to solve the issue we have on soft tissue injuries which are plaguing us again and he can turn this round, but I am sick to death of hearing him blowing his own trumpet about his past achievements. It’s here and now that count

 

We have no idea what was promised to Adams, whether that promise was kept, what level of budget he has compared to the rest, whether our recruitment capability is actually what was made out etc. We just don't know. But Adams clearly isn't happy, nor should he be.

There are plenty of indications that we have something like an average budget. Similar to most, somewhere in the region of 'mid table'. For all the talk of people wanting, Sparks, Adams, the players, the tea lady out, we've played 9 games and won 3, drawn 3 and lost 3. Weve scored as many as weve let in. Every inch a mid table level of performance. So Sparks and Adams, at the moment are performing in line with the resources they're given. They're outperforming that level, nor at they failing. The issue resides higher up.

 

Do we have budgets to give us advantage over other teams? Do we have the same income compared to other teams? Was the budget used to recruit the players with the right attributes and skills?
Were fans promised a competitive club this season?

 

And were fans daft enough to believe it....?

He got Morecambe promoted with little or no budget

Sparks repeatedly said the budget was being reduced this summer to say Adams wasn’t aware of this defies credibility

 

I'm saying we don't know specifics. Reduced from what, to what? And how does that compare to any expectations that were set, or compare to other clubs in the league?

That interview after the game wasn't just a manager miffed at his team having lost badly. He called out the running of the club.

 

Who in their right mind would buy a football club during brexit, a pandemic and after seeing what has happened to derby etc.
Be careful what you wish for.

 

Economy is in a state of flux and I am sure the last thing on business men and women’s minds in buying a football club.

 

All the more reason for the current incumbent to invest in what he already has or lose it all I would have thought...

 

The definition of 'Invest' is to see a return.
Just can't see Rupp shoving more into us, just Can't.
We can argue the virtues of it, but I don't see him 'Investing' any more of his €€€€ into us.
We're a busted flush for him

 

All the talk was getting rid of high earners and bringing in quality 'with the right attitude'.
IMO we did the first bit then turned off the tap as soon as the ST money was in, bringing in cheap shite to make up the numbers.
No wonder Adams is pissed off.
I get the feeling Adams said what Stuart wanted to say but wouldn't/ couldn't.
