Nor do we know whether he's taking any money out in the way of divident payments or a salary...

We seem stable, I always remember the accounts coming out under Stafford Heginbotham in the 60s early 70s with a warning in the T&A that without directors contribution football in Bradford would be a memory. It got much worse under Bob Martins regime then recovered when Stafford and Jack Tordoff took over.

If 6000 have asked for that back then that’s a real shame. A supporter is to help your club through thick and think.

Poor effort at disclosure, Why not publish full accounts instead of a heavily abridged version claiming openness

    I took mine back.

Why should I leave it in the pocket of a multi millionaire when he's also just pocketed 3 million from the McBurnie sale and has very little interest in my club?

Loyalty is a 2 way street. When I see the club progressing then he'll get my backing, until then I'm more than comfortable with my actions.

How much did you get back if you don’t mind me asking?

There are lots of business men who make fortunes and appear to give very little back, but the fact is we were bailed out by Rupp (only right) after the Rahic years. He could have quite easily wrote off his money and sent us into administration and beyond. For you to say he’s no interest seems a bit wide of the mark. I think we’re probably run similar to a lot of other clubs and probably better than some since Sparks took the hot seat.

I think your honesty is great here and refreshing. It was a difficult 18 months for everyone and we don't know everybody's personal financial circumstances. Regardless of how much was received back, any amount could have been useful to somebody really struggling. It isn't our responsibility to keep the club afloat during the pandemic. We have a very wealthy owner and a government to help with that.
You pay for a season ticket to be able to go to VP on a Saturday afternoon. If we weren't being allowed to do that then why shouldn't people be completely within their rights to get their money back.

to publish ‘full’ accounts they would need to be produced which if they decided not to lodge them at Companies would be extra expense where as this way they could just pull top line figures. Hopeful next year they will lodge full accounts so we will see them

I didn't claim ours back and I get that our owner is a multi millionaire but that was not a factor in not claiming it back.
As you say with the Covid pandemic being in its infancy he could have quite easily cut his losses, not saying for one minute those claiming their money back would have had any influence on his decision.
Stefan said he would stand by his commitment to the club and would try and rectify the mess Rahic had left the club in, if my £60+ helped all well and good.
What we have seen and heard since our new CEO took over leaves me optimistic for our immediate future.

Yeah he could have walked and completely lost every penny he's invested. Or, he could stay, pocket the McBurnie money as a stop gap and hope his continued investment eventually gets his money back.

And before we thank him and grovel, let's not forget that we're all blaming Rahic but Rupp was also complicit (maybe even more so considering it was mainly his investment) in our downfall so until he gets us back towards the top end of league one he's done nothing to warrant pocketing more of my money than necessary.

Edit - it was around £80 or £90 I think. I'm not sure of the total as I just credited it into my account towards last seasons ST's.

If I needed it, I would have claimed it back, if I didn’t , I wouldn’t. It’s up to each own individual circumstances.

And that’s fine, as is Northern Monkey’s decision to have his money back. We’re allowed different opinions.

For all Stefan is apparently trying to rectify Rahic’s summer of madness, it’s not a charity. However unlikely it is, if Stefan sells at a profit, he’s not giving back those £60’s people donated in the hard times. Loyalty works both ways. Ryan is making a proper effort in this area, optimistic as you say, he has to be applauded for the effort, but 12 months it was a very different Bradford City and a lot of people didn’t know if they would still have a job. The club was on it’s arse on the field and the summer transfer window was, well it was underwhelming. I don’t think there was universal good will to a man who’s ownership had taken the club to another year on year worse league position. It’s not helpful for anyone to criticise anybody for having their money back, say they’re not true fans or real fans. Not that I’m accusing you of that Bronco, it’s a general point.

I didn't need it, I've worked right through the lockdown.

I claimed it back for the reasons I stated, not because I was struggling financially.

    Surplus - Profit/Loss: +£1.1m (2018/19: -£1.9m)

Well doesn't that suggest he actually is?

    That's still -0.8m, isn't it?

Not said you did,I made no reference to you, I said “ I “ three times.

What anyone does is entirely up to them imho. More than happy to clarify but just read my comment back again to make sure .
