I'm pretty sure they shut to some extent on match days, theres a road block up just past the road behind the kop.

Its only players and directors who park there isn't it ? Let them park on sidesteps like the rest of us.

No our lad has a parking place behind the kop think he said its £330, but the players do park in there as in the past his dedicated parking place has been taken by someone else.

Personally I kind of think football shouldn't let fans back in this season. Seems massively unfair for some clubs to get fans in the ground for the last few rounds. Let fans back in for the playoffs where it will be fair and start fresh from next season

That's pretty much what the fan zone at Northampton Saints is like, except its provided extra shelter by the back of the stand and is nicely landscaped

My tickets are in the Main Stand, but a couple of seasons ago, I went to a few games when I sat with friends in the Kop. Isn’t there an area behind it which is opened to allow ‘smokers’? I didn’t go into it, because I don’t smoke. But perhaps if it is big enough it could have an awning/lean to canopy constructed above it to create extra space?

I'm not sure, I stay far away from smoking areas. As far as I can see there is no area around the kop bar the parking area as the other parts are taken up by turnstile queues. Maybe a better use of the bantams bar is an option but I don't really frequent it.

Whole discussion could be irrelevant with this Sh** shower of a government. They are racing to vaccinate in the vain hope that vaccination stops transmission of vaccine resistant strains in circulation which will likely cause a third wave. Signs across Europe and in the states not promising. Meanwhile we have a roadmap to a third wave.

Couple of years of this pandemic to go yet - history shows us that.

    Get used to ifollow folks.

Here is a picture of the back of the stand. The raised area could possibly have a canopy placed over it and portable kiosks erected. As it is a canopy and as long as fire regulations were complied with, then it is an area which could possibly be used.

At the risk of going off topic. Boris wanted to be in charge and is. Like trump he is a narcissist with excellent strategic acumen who used Brexit to get to be PM (remember his fence sitting surrounding his column in the telegraph - which version do I publish for the best personal outcome?).

The question you ask implies that there's no possible way to manage the situation whilst having the least impact on public health and the economy. There are many examples to prove that's just isn't true. I had a meeting this week with Thai colleagues who have no vaccination programme and also no current covid restrictions - admittedly they do have a military government.

The cynic might say that the mismanagement of the pandemic in the UK gives the perfect smokescreen for the fall out from Boris's Brexit facilitated power grab. After all how do you disentangle the effects of each. I'll wager more on that being the line from our government for the next few years than I would on city beating oldham this p.m.
