Any else thought that Cookie looked absolutey slow and knackered in his short cameo? After he did that run with the ball, I thought he was going to throw up! I think he’s going to need a lot of bedding in until he’s anywhere match fit.

I was convinced at the time he'd pulled up injured again, very worried at the end that might be it for him. Nothing has been mentioned though so fingers crossed it was just a knock and he's still stiff trying to get up to speed

At Motherwell he joined them 2nd bottom and in the time he was there only the Old Firm had a better record than him. That's basically as well as you can do in the SPL, so I'd say he was a success there too

Managers can be a success and still get sacked. Id say Kamara was a decent manager, a success at City but eventually got sacked. More recently Wilder at The Blades, Edwards at Luton etc.

Joking apart it was a ludicrous decision to give him the boot. Owners utterly clueless and now have egg on their face. I hope he doubled his salary....

Tbf to GA, right now is probably as good as he's going to get in the football ladder. Purely because CH clubs (and more importantly fans) are looking down their nose at managers like him and wanting to play fast and long with little possesion. You might get a handful, but probably 90% of the fanbases in the CH if they were linked with Alexander would turn their nose up at it.

How many random hires from leagues around Europe have happened around the CH in recent years? Feels like every time Watford or Hull sack a manager, they get linked to the usual names then hire some unknown from Europe because they managed a side with 70% possesion before. Sounds like Parky is about to be given the boot at Wrexham and the fans are turning on him, they want a better style of play now they are in the CH and the hoof isn't working.

Anyone with GA’s win ratio will attract attention from above, certainly lower championship (Sheff Wed for example) could be interested. I think once he sorts out the away form there may well be interest from others. We’re safe for now I think.

I don't know, I think the worm is turning on that a bit... teams are doing a bit more blood and thunder now, the high press is the antidote to the tippy tappy bore fests. Should he leave us (or preferably do it with us!) I could easily see a lower budget CH team taking a punt on him

I’m ashamed to admit that I listened to every minute and revelled in every bit of misery!

Thinking back to all the times I felt similar - 0-3 at Morecambe etc, and just glad that it isn’t us and the club finally feels like a professional outfit!

I think the reason we’ve started well is because we’ve surprised teams who aren’t used to the prolonged pressing game. We may have to adapt when teams suss this out and that is when we’ll see what GA is made of.

to me its good transfers.swan has well and truly fitted in to the team.
the manager plays attractive attacking football. teams cant handle
us pressing every player on the ball, its working a treat.

Harsh on Parky considering NL to CH in 3 years. But he has previous failures at that level. He is definately a lower league manager who cant seem to adapt to that level.

Parkinson's style is not a pretty watch but OMG, what a ride we had.

GA's style is a lot easier on the eye and more exciting. I have a feeling the ride is gonna be as good, if not better. It will be a roller-coaster for sure, it always is, but something tells me we'll be riding higher than lower most of the time.

I get what you are saying Jordan 100% , it’s meant moreso as a counter to the silly disingenuous Huddersfield two hats that suggested it was OUR cup final…….Nothing could be further from the truth…..That result and performance hurt them more than we can imagine!

He wont be given time either, listening to a podcast this week they made it out like they have already started looking for his replacement. When he goes, they'll want someone who is nicer on the eye than PP. Betfair already have a market live for next Wrexham manager with Danny Rohl and Gary O'neil favourites.

I think that’s a bit harsh on PP tbf. During his time with us he had periods of grinding out results but also some good footballing periods. When we took Northampton apart at Wembley we certainly weren’t playing hoofball. And in some of the cup performances such as Villa at VP and Chelsea away we played some great football.
