I'd like to see that 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 however it's called, with an attacking midfielder behind a front two. Seems more solid but doesn't change the wing back roles where we get a lot of attacks from.

I've always liked Baldwin as you know, but I do get what you mean when you say he makes you nervous at times !

I’d thought about about this after posting earlier as calendar years go I’d add 84 and 87 as well as 99 and 2013. In 84 we began the year in 23rd but went on a right run and won ten league games on the bounce and ended up finishing 7th and it proved was the springboard for the following year’s promotion
87 was similar but in that we were down in the relegation spots and the went on a brilliant run to finish 10th which once again prompted the great form at start of 87/88
We are only in September of course but this year has been very memorable what with the home form and atmosphere, the Fleetwood finale and of course the great start to this season, hope we can keep it going

Just like to mention Leigh after yesterday. I think it was right he got dropped after Doncaster but I thought he was great when he came on after the injury. Overall he has made the step up well

A tad before my time. I started in 1990 but will take your word for it!!! What I will say is in my 35 years Ive been short changed!!! 3 memorable years....albeit some decent ones too.

One or two on here could add 1911 to the list.

 

We looked better with him on the pitch. Had more shape in midfield and looked a bit more composed. I like Pattison but yesterday wasnt his day.

Even if we dont keep it going and we do end up in midtable at least we can see that the club now has a purpose and direction and who would have thought that over the last 7 years ?????

I actually go to VP now to simply enjoy the ride rather than turning up pissed off at yet another sorry display which there has plenty over the last 7 years.

Just hope that if we do go off the boil that folk dont turn on it .................4 home games and each games has been decent and may it continue
