Good shout P…. His all round play has been 7-8/10 for me , considering he’s been in footballing wilderness for a couple of years he’s been a truly outstanding recruit …… How did they know ? Sadly Smallwood would have been a bit of a liability . Credit the recruitment team and GA’s bottle in making the difficult controversial decision to offload Smallwood .

 

Ditto, the same for me as walked down North Parade after the game and it looked busy so youngest lad said lets head for the Northern Monk where we were quickly served (and can't have been sat too far from you) and tucked into some scran with plenty of options to marinate in the feel good of a cracking win on a saturday afternoon, amongst the City brethren

In the spirit of sharing, there is also a bar on the corner of Darley Street where the Bradford Underground venue is if you are looking for somewhere quieter to celebrate
Plus Popeyes and Wingstop are on the edge on the Broadway centre if you want some tasty fast food before or after the usual City home win

Looked to me like he took a whack and was in pain/shock. Probably precautionary for the substiution.

 

sat in the Northwest corner..... apart from area a great view I was sat next to two very depressed puppies boys...... we score and they just head in hands. v funny.... I asked them and they said they were neutral......my arse..... Did anyone hear the Crakovia Polish lad quality and very very funny....... great day worth my drive from Bishop Stort to Oakham. and Bradford ....superb

 

As long as he wasn't knocked out he will probably be treated at the club and monitored for concussion. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't concussion and if it is then he'll be out for at least 2 weeks so he won't be back until Blackpool at the earliest.

 

He played well yesterday apart from a few sloppy balls in the opening 25 minutes.

Still makes me incredibly nervous at times and I wish he wouldn't try a 50 yard pass quite as often because sometimes it's far too telegraphed but defensively he was very good, as were all the back 3/5 yesterday.

 

I though Touray was great again..

 

That last sentence is the key bit - with the money they have / have spent, there’s immediate pressure to perform.

They may well do a City 98/99 and, once they’ve taken time to gel, start dominating the league - but they need to sort the basics if they want to do that, never mind get the best tune individually out of those players of theirs.

 

Touray and Neufville have turned us into a genuinely competitive L1 side.

That's not a knock on anyone else, especially Brad, but they've been excellent so far. Proper wing backs, with Touray doing very well yesterday at CB.

Brad is an excellent defender but not a wingback

The pace and delivery into danger areas from Touray and especially Neufville is what we lacked last year

Absolutely. We only had one centre back on the pitch when they scored. Bound to be difficult to defend corners in those circumstances.

Bang on @Dubois it was the first time I haven't predicted us to win this season when I saw the formation (that's not having a pop at Alexander) as I'd not heard if any players were struggling, I went 1 - 1 what do I know, after the first 15/20 minutes they got themselves sorted and Town rarely troubled us, even the first 15/20 minutes for all their possession they didn't trouble Walker, or is the old grey matter letting me down.

 

Walker was hardly troubled. From memory didn’t he have two saves to make the whole game ?

 

At the thought of a 10 hour car share trip to VP with Kev.

 

GA recognised it and Town were banging in corners again. I think Kelly and Cook came on to help defend them.
