One thing i forgot to mention, another 18,000 crowd in league 2 with an excellent away following. Shame there isn't many away followings like this in league 2 because it makes for a far better game day.

Nah it was an even game. Bar the double save Lewis had little to do.

You would have been interested in the league table if we were bottom 3 after 5 games

Yeah but he only needed more movement than a corner flag for that.

Credit where it's due though, I thought Kelly did well today after being left incredibly exposed all the time. Tyreik Wright is one lazy bazza when chasing back.

Didn’t like the booing of Lewis today. But I think his presence made it the best atmosphere for some time

    Ha,
Just got back in the house, fair play to Bradford you just about deserved it, but I think once the confidence starts to flow I honestly think we'll be a force to contend with. We just need a GOOD manager!!
I'll give you some more thoughts tomorrow evening, bet you can't wait??? LOL
As for now I'm of to my pit, as the Yorkshire air has made me feel absolutely knackered.
    Good night chums!

I did like the cheers for Lewis today when he help set up our early goal,
I'd put it down as an assist
    Up the feckin' chickens Harry

Again it depends on how we were playing but it's extremely unlikely that being in the bottom 3 would be accompanied by good performances. If we'd been playing well and been remarkably unlucky then I'd be more optimistic than the league position would indicate.

Totally agree……but then so are the four teams above us…….so on that basis we will end up in the Play Off’s :sun:

I would say that it is a game that we would have lost points in, during previous seasons.

When you come up against other teams like Carlisle they often knicked points.

Today we did enough to and deserved to win.

I think Odour was quite focused on providing cover for Tyreik Wright, especially in the first half. He was at his best last season driving forwards from the centre of the pitch and that wasn't his role today, especially with Jamie Walker there to do that.

That said, he produced the pass of the match to completely split their defence, which Tyreik Wright should have done a lot better with.

I’m surprised by some of the comments to be honest. It was hit and miss but once we find the right pegs for the right holes we’ll be there or thereabouts. Shepherd for Kelly or Richards for Wright at LWB. Baldwin for Halliday who frustrated me on an attacking front, but defended well and was terrier like in the middle. Unfortunately we need a supply from the right which he seems reluctant or incapable of doing. I like Oduor and the ability that lad has is above anyone else in the team, he only needs to be on it for longer. All in all we’re in a decent position and feel we can push on from this and get ourselves firmly entrenched in the playoff positions if not above.

We need to improve the home form to be successful and today was exactly the sort of game where we could easily drop points. We didn't. Great result. Let's hope we have more to follow.

Not sure I would say it was a ‘great’ result. Perhaps a ‘decent’ result, but in my view it was a tight game. I would feel far more upset if I was a Carlisle fan

Enjoyed the game. Was pretty open and end to end. Carlisle didn’t come to park the bus which made for a good game of football.

I liked the starting lineup, thought Odour gave us a bit more technical quality in tight spaces in the midfield and Walker offers so much energy in the press.

My only gripe would be Wright. He showed a couple of times what an attacking threat he can be, great cross for cook’s goal and a flash of his pace to draw the foul and yellow card in the second half. Other than that I thought he was poor. If he isn’t going to be more of a threat going forward then it doesn’t justify his lack of defensive ability. Richards looked good midweek in the cup so I’d be interested to see if he can make his way into the team.

Overall though, we’ve managed to get a decent set of results without the performances being amazing. Hopefully the performance levels improve as the team settles in.

Certainly agree with the Wright comment….He was really poor in the first half and only marginally better in the second.

I don't like to see Oduor deep and he doesn't play any better there than Pattison, Walker, Gilliead, anyone and it blunts his strength which is to drive forward with the ball but maybe with a run of games he'll figure it out better and get a better balance of when to attack.
