Only because we've Byrne on the right. If that was Johnson I'd be fine with the back 3 even though Baldwin has been excellent of late and if fit he'd certainly be starting.

I’ve never been a fan of Byrne and he’s definitely the weakest part of that defence.
Johnson has always looked more capable even in the short cameos he’s made recently.

 

It has to be hard being in and out of the side.

Baldwin has looked a lot more comfortable as he’s the one who’s kept his place whilst others are in and out.

 

Baldwin is reportedly ill not injured which is good, concerned about the ball progression from our defence. Crichlow of course can but has been flaky of late, Byrne can’t. Shepherd should be fine in the middle.

I’d of also liked to have seen Johnson start, same as above in his short cameos looked good and his 90 minutes against MK dons he was very good, all be it of course MK were a poor side.

Byrne is a decent l2 defender in the middle of a 3, he really struggles to progress the ball playing in that rcb role though

 

Johnson does look a good calm defender, however, seems incapable of playing a full match or a few consecutive games. I presume he is still not 100% after missing so much time through injury the last couple of seasons?

Has he done enough for us to extend contract, not so sure myself

 

He Spoke to my friend against Colchester I believe, he’s been fit just not selected by GA.

 

We need to impose ourselves from the off today, with Sarcevic, Wright, Walker and Mellon on the bench we should have enough to get the job done today, buzzing CTID.

In fairness though, does anyone actually think he's even been our best player in the last month, never mind the leagues?

He's done well on the goal return which is probably what won him the award but if we're being honest, with everyone fit, how many are putting him in our strongest XI?

 

Arrived at Swindon. First away game this season. Took 50 mins longer than the sat nav said due to the A46 being closed. Here in good time though and parking easy. Come on City!

 

Hasn't the problem with Rom is he keeps picking up knocks during the game,
Take last week when their forward Bogle decided not to challenge for a header and poor old Rom went straight over the top of him
Subbed a little while afterwards
