Cant be bothered to read through all this thread, but I just wondered what all the shenanigan's was about when Shepard?? scored the OG, personally thought it was a bit disrespectable the way 3 of the Swindon players reacted?
A bit of bad blood during the game?

 

Smith has been a first class bell end all of his career and comes across as a bit of a wrong un most of the time. It probably explains why clubs move him on fairly sharpish despite him having a little bit of ability.

Really good question, talk to any Vale fan and they are going to give us an absolute spanking, which is probably understandable. However if we turn up and play like we have done over the last couple of games then I think we'll give em a game. Hughes has put a bit of positivity into this bunch of no hopers. Were going to have a big crowd for us on Friday (in excess of 10,000), so you never know. If we CAN win we then play Accrington on Monday, and confidence will have hopefully gone through the roof. at this moment in time 50/50 I would say.

Ah sorry you're right, you said the Wimbedon %game. I thought you were referring to the 80s team who are probably the most famous proponents of the 'long ball game'.

 

Just hope and pray we get a decent ref on Thursday, who is fair to both teams and not a 'look at me, Billy big balls' type.

And if he is going to make a controversial decision, perhaps we get the bloody benefit!

That’s two weeks running now that our oppos should have had a red card and didn’t. The potential leg breaker challenge on Pattison, which was far worse than the Smallwood tackle, and the Smith incident, which was a violent barge in the back unrelated to any in-play activity

Maybe he's waiting for the appeal to be heard before announcing the details of his public apology?

 

They are usually announced on a Wednesday, but given then matchday schedule has all been moved forward a day we might well find out today?

 

Cant tell I've not had my coffee yet. Literally looking at the EFL page that says "ref appointments 11 - 17 April" and it hadn't dawned on my that we were playing Thursday and not Friday.

Hallams last 8 games had 6 of them in the Champ. Started the season reffing national league games, bit of a rise? Doesn't seem overly card happy either. It's their first season as a full time ref, doesn't look like they've done a City match before, done 1 Notts match before on NYD when they lost 2-1 at home to Walsall.

 

If he doesn't give every single vaguely contestable decision to us then he's incompetent or possibly even corrupt.

 

He’s a decent referee. Seen him in one or two games….He lets it flow. Pretty high up in the ref educational field.
