He’s referring to Marcus Bignot I think, ex Crewe player.

We had people on here saying we were a dead cert for the autos 2 weeks ago and I did tell people to calm down and keep their powder dry.

Football has a habit of biting you on the arse and with those type of comments you’re asking for a fall.

Remember Jamie Walker doing similar a while back. Can't remember the game but we all thought it was ace.

After many beers last night and a long sleep, I'm still frustrated and angry at GA for making us ultra defensive when Swindon were awful in defense and their for the taking, even with 10 men

This is disgraceful behaviour from the opposition players. I have never seen it before. I don’t ever want to see it again. All three should have been booked

He did but guess the emotions he must have been feeling absolutely floored him.

I remember a few years back when we played at home and the opposition went down to 10 men. Instead of the manager taking a striker off he put another on and they were all over us. Can't remember who the manager was, but it shows that if you stay on the front foot the opposition will become worried about being hit on the break and leave players back. What GA did created mayhem in the defence. His late substitutions should have been made at 4-3 to run the clock down.

Oh well, nothing can be done about it now. For those confident about the home form, Smallwood is a major part of dictating and breaking up play. I don't think we've anyone in the squad with his discipline. Thursday will be tough, especially if we fall behind. Just as we were getting our strongest 11 back we lose the one player we can't replace. I'm hoping others around us keep dropping points because I've a feeling we will too.

All we can hope is that someone like Baldwin or Khela steps in to the role and is an absolute revelation. Sarcevic has the brain and range of passing but I'm not sure about the mobility t do the Smallwood role. I reckon we'll know very early on against Notts C to see if it's workable

As I mentioned earlier very little margin for error now. I think 81 or 82 points should get 3rd place. That's 3 wins or 2 wins and 2 draws. Both permutations very doable but I fear we look very vulnerable at the wrong time and we are moving into the unknown in having to play 3 vital games without our holding midfielder for whom we have no obvious replacement

This is what the laws say:

    Serious Foul Play:
This refers to fouls that are excessive in force and endanger an opponent, potentially causing serious injury.

Does this really apply to Smallwood’s foul?

I think one of the reasons Alexander hasn’t commented on the red card is that he wants to appeal it. We might as well we have nothing to lose.

I think 79 points could be enough. Just two more wins.

Agree. On current form of the top sides I reckon two wins will probably do it.

I hope you're right but that is heavily reliant on other teams slipping up. If we fail it will be incredibly tough to take.

I think unfortunately that the Smallwood foul ticked all the boxes for a straight red. I'd be amazed if the club appeal it

Refs are soo inconsistent, apparently this ref was a league 1 championship ref.. Smith should have beeb sent off for the shove.. pretty sure majority of refs have it in for us.. i bet if one of our players had shoved theirs like that he’d be off!
