First half we got totally outplayed. A lesson but our boys are tough mentally currently.

What a second half boys. Well played.

 

One of the pleasing aspects of our play this year is our set pieces. Much better the one from Power that set up the equalizer was brilliant

 

Who was the player I saw the video the following morning but didn't know who he was accusing.

 

Agree he's been there a while now and built a squad that will/should be challenging, not sure the fans will give him time if they aren't at least play off contenders this season.

How can he say Powell was not one of his signings, Challinor was the Stockport manager in 2023 when Powell signed after leaving Stoke.

 

Powell said this on signing for Stockport.. "I think everyone can see what an exciting journey the club is on, the ambitions that the owner has for the club, and that was something that really appealed to me when deciding on my next move."

Maybe Challinor was looking at someone else as well at the time but was overruled by the owner?

Supposition, but it could be why he's saying Powell was not his signing.

 

Bloody typical!! But they were awful for most of it. Bolton created a lot and passed it fairly well for this level but nothing up front

Wasn't that a similar case with Aaron McLean, Mark Lawn wanted the money we received spending quickly but Parky was not of the opinion McLean was the right player at the time as a replacement for Nahki, never a good thing for your career to question your owner, coming from Stoke I bet he was on a good wedge.

 

Google says... "Powell was earning a weekly salary of £16,538 at Stoke City before his transfer to Stockport. "

 

Moxon, their forum say so and two vlogs I’ve seen say Moxon too. Someone said Pye but it was proved he wasn’t involved in the Orient play off goal , Moxon was, as he was in ours too.

Well today I was talking with my friend a Stockport County fan for years who went to the game and he commented "what the hell have you done with Touray?" never played like that for them. Very impressed with us ( second half) and expects us to be up there. Kudos to Sars for not celebrating either. Tilt was a monster and he did say Kelly was dog shit though and how on earth did he get into the team.

He said they are a real hot and cold team struggling to put a full 90 mins in and thinks Powell wasn't that injured despite what Challenor was saying publicly. Maybe a fall out behind the scenes?

This is the best video I've seen so far County commentators got the overall game bang on, and the "no goal" at the end is as clear as day, even they say Sam Walker stopped it crossing the line, take note Mr Challinor.

 

I don’t know if Challinor ever said that Powell wasn’t one of his signings. But that was certainly the view of some on the Stockport forum.
