Thankyou Idlebantam much appreciated. I've mellowed a bit now I'm in my 50's wasn't always the case in my younger days ha ha! There's still certain teams & fan bases I'll always hold a dislike for though, Bradford certainly aren't one of them. I like to browse various clubs message boards & I have to say this is one of the better ones in terms of supporter knowledge & in particular the fairness in your assessments of the opposition. I've read through the comments about last nights game & can't disagree with any of them.

Nice to also see a couple of you acknowledge that Challinor is a manager with a good record, he is, he sets very high standards & we're lucky to have him but I also agree with the views on here that publicly shaming your players isn't a particularly good trait either. He did it after the game with Orient on Saturday & I kind of supported him in that, seeing it as a bit of a kick up the backside to get a a reaction last night but to then do it again after the next match when things haven't gone his way doesn't sit too well with me, some things are best kept & worked out behind closed doors . We've all probably worked for managers in our jobs at some point who are constantly on your case or single you out for no apparent reason & after a while rather than motivate it can have a negative effect. I don't think he's anywhere near losing the dressing room or anything as drastic as that but modern footballers seem to be a sensitive breed nowadays & I'd imagine if he does that too frequently it will have completely the opposite effect that he desires

 

They have a lot of suspicions for sure JB . One commented , after a conversation with Powell, he made it clear he was perfectly fit and sidelined some reason. The suspicion was, as already said , Challoner didn’t get involved in his signing.

To be fair to DC, that interview came right after a game which left his head all over the place. If it was conducted now, I think he would have handled it differently and not simply labelled us as smashing the ball anywhere downfield(which we did in the first half).

Apart from our own games, I've seen a few teams now on tv and apart from Stockport's first half performance last night, Ive seen absolutely nothing to fear so far in this league.
