I believe they make two new signings this week JB ? One a left winger from Cheltenham and the other a centreback.

Pretty sure we beat them 5-0 in a pre-season friendly at Edgeley Park, probably around the Premiership years time? Anyone else remember this?

Their forum and our game thread is worth a read if you have 15 mins to spare.

Varies from we ( BCFC) are cloggers who they will “ smash” 4-0 to an alternative view of SCFC have no midfield and defence can be all over the place .

Oddly I expect Touray and Neuf to have stormers , we just need to deal with their front three. I have some confidence tbh.

Had a look at the ever useless guide to the match on the club website, totally misses the fact that the railway station is closed at the moment as mentioned in this thread.

A bit of a depressing read, they're in the top five but you'd think it was bottom five judging by the comments.i guess the constant year on year success has bred an heightened expectation. Not a bad thing in terms of ambition but can lead to air of apathy around the fan base.

Just looking through out mid-week league games last season and we actually had a good record since recruiting for the 343/351 tactic. We played 8 L2 games with a 7:45 KO last season, with 4 wins, 3 draws and just 1 defeat which was our final mid-weeker away to Port Vale. Conceded just 5 goals in those 8 games too, scoring 9, so they were pretty much always tight encounters with 8 of the 9 games having 2 of fewer goals. We had 3 games that were a 1-0 win and 3 games ended in a 1-1 draw. Stockport also had a very good return, they had 11 of their league matches kick off at 7:45 midweek, with a record of 4 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats. With 8 of the 11 games having 2 or less goals, County having 5 games finish 1-1.

Two teams with good records under the lights and common with 1-1s in their recent history....... Nailed on City win :p

I’m like you , I have some confidence tonight. Even their forum poll in their game thread, 36% think we will take all three points. That’s very unusual because many are saying their start is superficial in terms of “ riding their luck” thus far and despite 7/9 points?

Sounds like their aren't too impressed with how they are playing from what I've read but they are still getting points. I think it will be tight, either someone is winning 1-0 or its a 1-1 draw. Two well drilled defences.

Who do you think will be dropped for Swann? - Humphrys presumably? That would be a big call given how Humphrys has started the season. Also impressed by Swann too, good to have these selection quandaries

Hump won’t be dropped unless he’s unfit. If anyone is dropped for Swan…….Sarcevic and save him for Saturday?

Dropping Sarc against Stockport? I think he'd be absolutely fuming if that happened!

Looking forward to this game. Our positive start eases the pressure. If we get a positive result, or even a narrow defeat with a strongly competitive performance, will reinforce belief we can compete towards the playoff spots. If we're very much second best, its a reminder that we still have to focus on consolidating in the league as a minimum and will keep expectations more grounded.
