Walker, Tilt and Pattison were all top notch in my book. What a win!!!

 

Well, well. Did any of us see that at HT? No one above a 4/10 first half, no one below an 8/0 second.

The changes at HT sorted our shape and mindset, and got us back into being 10 yards up the pitch and MUCH more effective in our press. And it's our performance out of possession that will always set the tone for how we play. We don't have the budget or technical players much of the top 6-8 do, so we're never going to win games on the basis of being good in possession but not doing the ugly stuff. Intensity, physicality and pressing, all need to be right to give us a platform to be effective when we get the ball. Excellent HT performance by GA.

Excellent result. And a big test passed - how would we react to going behind? How do we recover mid game against a quality opponent? Answered with aplomb.

 

Amazing win but let's be honest how the hell have we got away with that? That miss on the final whistle was worse than Tyreik Wrights on Saturday. Great management by Alexander to get us back in it but if Stockport could finish they'd have buried us.
Maybe we've earned that slice of luck.

What an incredible result. Brilliant second half response to punish Stockport for not putting us to the sword when they had the chance.
Every game we’ve said we’ll learn more about this squad in that game and the message we’ve received back from them each time has been colossal.
Pattison, brilliant. Curtis tilt yet again incredible, optimising everything we ask for in a player.
That is one hell of a statement to the rest of the league.

 

Sam Walker - what a 'keeper. If it wasn't for that man we would have been truly battered. MOM by a country mile.
