I think there would be a good chance of that. He's still developing so they will certainly be looking to loan him out again. No chance of him coming back if we dont go up, but a season loan in League 1 could be viewed as a good move for him.

Just watched the highlights back and noticed that Lapslie didn’t really celebrate his first goal. Maybe he needs to work on his celebration

 

I believe that is out of date. Other reports suggest his contract with Palace now runs until June 2027.

Cowley bemoans he had three players who have been ill this last week and under performed-so why did he play them in such a huge game? Perhaps they lack strength in depth and that may be the difference between getting over the line or not for them.

 

It was bizarre. I remember thinking it may have been an own goal and that my eyes had deceived me. Never seen such a muted celebration. Nobody went to him either.

 

I'm sorry I just can't get over how short sighted that is. What's the use of a 1 in 2 striker if you're not winning games and creating f all threat across the rest of the team other than a goal every other game.

 

We wouldn't be creating those situations if he'd been playing.

The whole team bar the captain has been rotated and it's yielded a more consistent set of results and made us a better attacking outfit.

24 goals in 16 games since with a greater spread of goalscoring players since.
This should be the way we approach all games.
