The thing about this team is they are consistent, that’s the difference between them and previous teams. Past seasons we have been banking on a good run to get into the playoffs. I am going to stick my head on the block here and say we will go up as champions. We have strength in depth in this team and I believe that will get us over the line.

Law of averages says we might not make it 11

But the law of averages also said we might not get to 7 or 8 or 9 or 10.
You said the same before the MK Dons games when it was at 8 games unbeaten.
Some teams in the EFL haven’t lost at home all season.
Their fans have probably been saying the law of averages quote all season and they might go the whole season unbeaten.
What’s to say we can’t go unbeaten at home until May?

I’m not saying we will definitely win today.

I’m saying with our home record and their away record we should win today.

Once again I’ll say I know who’s boots I’d rather be in.

I remember people saying similar about Luton when they won league 1, I can’t remember how many they went unbeaten at the end of the season but I’m sure it was 20+. Sometimes teams just keep going. We are playing 22nd in the table today, new manager or not their players obviously haven’t been very good. No excuse not to win if we want top 3.

5 home games left and whilst there’s a very good chance we remain unbeaten, will we win them all and make it 15 on the bounce?
Has any other club achieved that before?

I’m not used to this nervous match day anticipation I’m now getting, as the last 6/7 years has been more of a chore going to the games than anything. Not felt like this I guess since the jagger year going up to the Premiership.

We should win . . . . on paper. I think you know what comes next.
I was looking at the table a few minutes ago and realised that out of the top 12 teams in this league only two have won the most recent game that they've played. That does seem to suggest that there aren't that many consistent teams in the top half of this league. We have certainly been the most consistent over the last 10 games or so, which is why we've gone from a relatively poor position to challenging for the top spot.

    I know which I prefer.

The “chore” games were turgid and everything a match shouldn’t be.
Dreading going to games is a horrible feeling.

This is a different horrible feeling but it’s a million times better than those previous “chore” games.

    I don’t think we’ll win them all.

I like a bet but out of the five games left, today isn’t the game I’m putting money on us drawing or losing.

I think the Notts County game could end our winning streak but we may be in an unassailable position by then.

I'm not sure what Huntington has to do to get a game. He's been largely very good every time he's played.

Hope we get away with it but for me, if fit it has to be either Critchlow or Huntington over Byrne every time
