26/27 Season start date

    The start date for the 26/27 season have been confirmed with the opening weekend in the league being 14th-16th August and the Carabao Cup the weekend before (7th - 9th August).

    The Carabao Cup has been brought forward as the schedule will have to change next season due to the International breaks in September and October merging into 1 window which would take place when round 3 would normally be played.

    The round of fixtures in the Vertu Trophy is due for w/c 21st September when that extended international break is.

    Good start dates for league season. I think its started too early last few years. I also like the idea of starting season with the league cup.

    It worked quite well in the 2012/13 season.
