Covers dont suck out the water already in the soil, unfortunately - water which freezes when its minus temps.

 

Cheers for that. As frustrating as it is, I'd rather not take the chance. Can't remember exactly, but I'm sure a couple of years ago we pushed ahead with a game when the pitch was questionable in terms of frozen temperatures and it ruined the pitch for the rest of the season. Not worth it.

Rest up lads, then go and batter Cardiff and the Dog Botherers!

 

PS you cant leave covers on too long as it kills the grass - they need sunlight!
