Would have been better than giving Stockport 3, who are now 4 points behind us instead of both Hudders and Stockport being 6 points.

On a more positive note I've just seen this on Bobby Pointon's Instagram, it looks like he was on the winning side in yesterday's training which I assume will be something like some small sided games so at very least it means he was fit enough to take part in contact training and kick a ball so he should be fine for the Cardiff game next week.

Sarcevic & Swan also on there so looks like it wasn't anything serious against Blackpool.

Yeah but for comedic value......you just can't beat a Botherers defeat.

Seen a few of them are having another Grant pop after the result and his comments about Alfie May.

He missed the game and when asked why he said “Alfie May didn’t feel like he could complete the session or play today”. Not great man-management to make out like the player didn't feel up to it. Every other boss would just say something like 'he felt a tweak or picked something up in training and we didnt want to rush him', but Grant has put it at Mays feet.

GA has openly spoke about players saying they cant play even after been in training.
Sarc and Baldwin two who he's praised for this in the last month.

Baldwin especially....he said something along the lines of he's a professional, he knows his body and I like that he's said he can't make it.....

It's more a "how you say it" thing, and not really the same scenario.

GA praising two injury prone players for taking their time to recover is one thing, but Grant saying May didn’t feel like he could play when he's in every squad and according to their lot was pictured at training yesterday, are two very different pictures.

Yes it was misleading and I can see how it is annoying , but obviously based on the information available at the time .

What the match official should have said …With the caveat using the current information available, the match will go ahead as planned , however as a precaution there will be a confirmation inspection at 10.00 am tomorrow morning “

The club SHOULD NOT have waited over an hour ( whatever it was it was over 45mins ) to update the club media page on the subject.

After todays postponement I decided to take my lad to the Etihad to see Man City hammer our League One counterparts in the FA Cup. £25 total for the match tickets, £15 return on the train... bargain.

What do you mean that you can't supply a fully detailed costing and lead time for equipment from a company you don't work for or own? Ridiculous effort. :joy::joy:

Instead of being at the game we went to the Panto at the Alhambra and watched Billy Pearce and Sinitta

After watching the video I took the £2k cost to be the cost of the LPG rather than the cost of the equipment but may have misunderstood. I wonder if Cambridge could offset the cost against the income from the match before the split like they would with policing and stewarding costs with it being an FA cup match

My hydrangea plants are protected by horticultural fleece that protects below -3,so goodness knows what the city covers are made of.

This is a significant feck up. The management of the club from Sparkes team have been praised in the last 12 months. Rightly so IMO. However not rectifying the covers problem has likely cost us 3 points today. Rotherham have been in freefall and will undoubtedly be stronger by the time this is rearranged. We should have a system that allows us to get games on in frosty weather. Sky ensure their covered games go ahead with a hot air cover. We should be able to ensure similar. A decision that could prove costly by the end of the season.

We might also be stronger by the time the game is rescheduled. Pointon, Pennington fit, new signings whether permanent or loan.
