I'm not suggesting anything. It's a fact that we have had previous games postponed recently due to conditions around the ground rather than due to the pitch. All I'm pointing out is that investing hundreds of thousands or even millions of pounds in equipment to keep the pitch playable does not 100% guarantee a game will go ahead.

Luton and Peterborough really picking up are might be teams to watch out for. Not looking forward to playing either.

There aren't gonna be many easy games.

Costs around 2-3k for two days air domes.
    We really that hard up.

Zero effort from the club these days to get winter games on.
Have a look how Stockport got their game on

Easy pickings against terrible team and best time to play them.
Should have done all possible to get on which looks like not much effort in any opinion

We have had lots of discussions about ‘pitch protection’ be it from flooding, ice/frost and snow. The late Roger Owen (Wetherby Whaler) countered a lot of points that were raised, saying that the solutions were not within the budget the club.
Numerous suggestions were made by BT members in respect of working systems at other clubs, I recall one used by a Canadian Club.
I wholly agree that City need to address the issue of pitch management. It seems as though Valley Parade is particularly prone to ‘weather’ related incidents.
However when it comes to postponing a match, then the earlier the better. So from my perspective 11.00 am is reasonable.
For the avoidance of confusion, it is not City who postponed the fixture, but the match referee.

Sorry have to massively disagree as my points above
Getting a Saturday game on should be priority
Tuesday game will lead to probably 30% less attendance so profits hit
Club hasn’t even tried. They knew about the temperatures which could have been tackled at a small cost

Maybe its something that can be brought up at the next supports meeting, if that link is correct we will have lost that sort of potential revenue when as you say a Tuesday night will be many thousands down on a Saturday attendance.

I think we all agree that the club needs to seriously address the situation.

The club probably has tried……but its options are not satisfactory.

If they are that cheap why don't all clubs get them? You would need it for more than 2 days. Stockport only had one as the EFL loan them to club for games that are on TV, same reason that Luton had one and the reason the only league 2 games to go ahead last week were the 12:30 games.

It’s been talked about for years.
The pitch has always been an issue and I get the cost of fixing the main issue is really expensive
But a few days heating like other clubs have proved it to work is poor from our club

Can you provide a direct link for the solution you suggest, so that we can have a look at it?
Provide a clear and transparent option, with costing by the firm, and I guess you will get a great deal of support from others on BT.

I’m guessing it’s lack of preparation, rather than cost mainly

That would mean the only clubs who are prepared are the ones that can get one from the EFL.
