Yes.. but not far enough.. I'm not and will never be happy until we are in the championship. We should be doing better.

 

Our passing at times today was League Two level, I like Power but he played some wayward passes today fair do's to the lads they kept getting forward second half and caused Cardiff problems.

 

I though Ashby looked ok, hopefully another that more game time will improve
I would rather have kept Halliday, but that was not to be

 

Enjoyed that today, decent match and really good performance, thought Cardiff shower their class and apart from a 10 min spell in the first half we were the better side.
Tilt, sarc and metcalfe we're class today.

Play like that for the rest of the season and we'll be very close to the top of the league, could do with buying a decent no9

Every other top 8 side currently drawing at half time. Another bizarre set of scores with Plymouth the highest placed side winning who started the day in 16th.

 

Some people are such drama queens! God knows how they'll cope if we also lose the next two very tough games.

 

I also thought he looked okay and have no concerns about him coming in, but i thought that smelled like a precooked decision from GA and wasn't really justified by the performance.

TBH, I'm a bit disappointed GA made that change right after Josh got us back in the game.

Poor.

 

Not sure Neufville was particularly Impressed either.

A strange decision considering how strong Neufville had looked leading up to the substitution.

 

Don't think we've got the goals TBH.

Our defence is there, just as good as Cardiff and Lincoln, many things are there, but goals scored? Think we look short.

I dont even think it can be considered dramatic to have doubts about top 2, 3rd is a fantastic proposition.

 

Am I in a miniority that thought Sibley was shite? He lost posession far too many times and misplaced passes.

He was causing them real problems.

I think the decision to bring him off was made on Thursday, and that's disappointing.

 

If we are comparing him with Wright he looked a world beater but I also thought he picked the wrong pass too often.

 

Beaten by the better team, in the first half I thought it was going to be a cricket score but at least we hung in there and could have got something with a bit more luck. Tilt probably MOM for me.

 

I've said elsewhere, what is noticeable about T Wright is how bad he makes everyone else looks.

Toure, Kelly and Pointon are all worse when plays down that side with them

 

Yes just looking at the match stats we were better at most things apart from sicking the ball in the net,

Apart from a 20 minute spell in the first half where Cardiff scored twice I don't think there was much between the sides. Yes their midfield 3 in that period ran the game but their forward like wasn't great and with a bit more believe we could and should have put their defence under more pressure.

On to good and bad bits today.

Baldwin Metcalf Neufville and Motm for me Tilt were excellent. Ashby looked very good when he came on too. Hope it isn't nothing serious with the knock at the end.


Now the poor part.

T Wright was as poor as he was 12 months ago Pointon didn't look fully fit
Sibley not quite sure what to make of him but feel he may be better in the centre. A few poor controls and was no better than Wright.

Both Swan and Humphrys looked well off it although the latter despite the appalling miss gave their defenders more to think about.

The question we need to ask ourselves though is it bad to go toe to toe for the majority of the game against the league leaders but lose . Absolutely not.

It's just the fine tweaks that we need to sort out. I still say the play offs is on at the very least but we still could be in the top 2 with a bit more belief.

 

Penalty in my book.

 

Shite is a bit harsh but he didn't have much impact despite seeing a lot of the ball. 6/10 - underwhelming!
