You said full backs but tomato / tomato in terms of who is playing the left defensive position. The confusion was that it read to someone else as if you meant the centre backs were pushing forward but in context you meant the full backs (or wing backs) not the centr backs

 

No you didn't. This is what you said. You can't even be bothered to go back and read what you wrote before arguing. This is the problem with you. You type some thing and then forget what you've typed.

 

I didn’t, it’s why I’ve given up my ST. I’ll watch the occasional game this season when I’m at a loose end, via a stream. But I’ve started to occupy my time with other things and will do so until we’re run as a properly ambitious outfit under a new owner.

I've never said that, I haven't seen Baldwin play and I thought Platt was class (whereas most thought he was useless until he left) so he'll be difficult to replace.

There's something of an irony here, which I'm not sure you grasp. I don't know whether you were engaged in or supportive of the 'movement' that started just a few weeks ago to protest against the ownership and running of the club. I was, and I stand by it. I've reached the point I have, after decades of following this club in every possible sense, and after years of mismanagement. This isnt about a handful of results, or a couple of transfers, or any one manager. To see it being run into the ground in the same way the City is, with Supporters being fed lies and dross, is heart breaking. I won't enable it, I expect more from the custodians of this football club. And why has that movement fallen away? Because of hollow promises that once again haven't materialised, and a token gesture to recruite David Sharpe.

If there's any fickle thinking or behaviour going on, it ain't here. I'll stand by my principles, which i suppose is a defintion of 'faithful'. This football club will NOT move forward without material change, starting at the top.

 

Each to their own. I make no judgement about anyone who's rocking up at VP this season: but if and when the same empty and hollow promises serve up the same results, people who've bought into another season will have no right to complain.

 

I don’t recall anyone saying Platt was useless. He had his faults for sure , aka passing ability. He was just an average L2 defender, leaving an average L2 side to join another average L2 side that offered him more money for his services. That’s football.

It’s bonkers isn’t it I used to get the buzz on the Friday looking forward to game day and it was that way for 40 years and let’s be honest we have had some pretty miserable times in those years but I never felt disenfranchised like I do now, I always felt part of the club , the fight and the sense of belonging.

but now it’s cheesy marketing, false promises, sound bites and lies, inexperience and ego running the club basically into the ground making the same mistakes over and over and filling the gaps with yet more excuses.

A bang average L1/2 club that had its day in the sun , and awaits the ownership spectre of limitless pots of money or debt and oblivion?
