Stubbs has become overrated as all heck on here this Summer.

 

I'm greedy and want us to bring in cover/competition for Smallwood as well. I reckon we will if KMac does indeed leave.

 

He was really good in his first season with us and Exeter fans said that he was great for them when fit but he struggled last year.
I wonder which player we’ll get this season.

 

Yep I expect KMac and Oliver to both be replaced if they leave.

 

Competition for Sam walker, Smallwood & cook.
And defo another centre half but the fact he’s only bringing in 3 more which was before wright so that leaves 2 which I hope will be centre half and competition for Smallwood that’s priority for me. Could young do cooks role if needed think we forget he’s 6ft

 

Yep certainly wouldn't do Cooks role per say but we looked great against Wycombe without Cook, or any "target man"

If that’s true then fair enough but I’ll also be surprised if we can keep Johnson fit. Given his injury record to me it’s a concern that he’s one of the ones who currently isn’t involved.

Whey to many

 

Richards aint a LWB. He is a CB. So if we bring another LWB in then I dont see that effecting Richards. He will probably duke it out with Kelly for the LCB spot.

 

I just dont see that.

Smallwood/Gilliead, Sarcevic/Pattison, Walker/Pointon/Oduor - we have 7 already fighting for just 3 shirts.

Plus Wilson kicking around and a couple of kids.

If he hadnt triggered his extension he would no longer be a City player imo. Yes he got his injury but when fit, GA didnt really fancy him. In and out of the side, moved too DM etc.

If anyone came in with an offer I think he would be sold.

True, BUT Harry Lewis was fantastic his first season with us, but the problem was he DID play last year and we now know he isn't as good as he seemed.

Same thing happened with Stubbs who had a great first season then a poor season last year but then got injured so is off the hook?

Not by me. He was no better than Taylor last season. I will not be surprised if he has moved on by the end of August

 

In other transfer news, Morecambe have had their transfer embargo lifted and announced 15 players . Interesting to see Luke Hendrie and Yann Songo’o amongst them
