What was the result

 

Started off at Boro in midfield, turned into a decent lower league right back as his main position. Might fill in a right centre back but he ain't starting there in my opinion.

 

At the signing interview he stated Alexander asked him where he saw himself as wanting to play and he said as an attacking right back. Didint mention centre back.

 

Listen to it I think he says he does Halliday will be wing back and he will play right sided centre half

 

A classic lazy answer from a man who can't admit he's been called out for talking baloney

 

That isn't the signing interview done with the club although he does say he can play at centre back.

 

We've done this conversation, go and read his thread. He's played there for a handful of games. He's a right back and was improving a right back over the last couple of season.

It's not a lot to ask for a competent division four centre back who has played a couple of seasons in that position and is a solid defender. We ain't replacing Platt with Johnson.

 

We don’t know that for sure Park, it’s an option of course or I suspect it will be right side defensive “cover”. All will be unveiled in the fullness of time .

We need a left sided CB too, one who is left footed. Can't do a full season with Kelly again unless he improves

Kelly was decent in his first full season

 

I have no worries with Kelly at left CB. Sure we might be able to go out and get better, but the CB and right CB are more of an issue in my opinion.

 

Halliday is a right back who is playing wing back I would agree if we were playing the conventional two centre halves but we are playing three and a defensive right back could easily fit in there. He hasn’t signed to play second fiddle to Halliday

 

Who knows where he plays but i highly doubt he turned down League 1 offers to come play second fiddle here. I imagine he will play rcb, if of course he can stay fit.

 

But we currently have nobody to offer competition /cover for injury or suspension at left CB so I'd say it is an issue.
