2021/22: A Season of Struggle?

Fordy inspired action? It’s going to be a long wait.

 

We will always dream that something better might be just around the corner - despite the vast bulk of our history indicating the opposite! Keep hoping mate, when a club is in your blood it cant go away - and you never know.............just maybe

 

Its a bit like Citizen Smith with Fordy - come the revolution!

It is Steve and unlike other 'products' that continually let you down you cant easily take this one back and change it!

 

Supporters will inevitably come to their own conclusions but in the cold light of day the table doesn’t lie.
You get what you deserve and I would hope each and every player knows they simply haven’t done enough.
Performances have been so disjointed and aggressively toothless, seldom did we see the quality and skill required to entertain the pandemic armchair army.
Even when we had that little run to secure our League Two status for another season we didn't look comfortable in possession.
It's been a season to forget.
Would it have been any better Infront of fans?
I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on that question but the fact is we will never know,time moves on.
The 21/22 season is all but over with very few memorable highlights of mention.

 

Can you tell me all the scores for each of the games so I can clean up at the bookies.....

 

We are now the complete reverse of when Parky took over, instead of finishing higher each season we're finishing lower. And theres nothing in this team to suggest that trend will not continue next season. 4 seasons of utter shite, almost like karma punishing us to even out the good times we had in league 1. Truth now is we are just another average league two side who happen to have a big stadium and more fans than others.

There are a lot of similarities between when Parky took over and now. They both took over at similar times of year and with the club in danger of going out of the league with poor teams and both faced heavy criticism T&S probably did better than Parky at first which raised expectations but overall they got us to safety quicker and better. This coincided with a new CEO with promise of better things so let’s see if we can equall or eclipse Parky’s legacy

What worries me about T&S as managers is that we never looked that good when the results went for us, Couple that with a poor run of displays leads me to suspect we are seeing the real T&S at the moment and next season will be just as bad,

 

Sparks as CEO has done more in 6 months , than Rhodes did in years. Give the lad a chance. You can not expexct an all conquering team from where we were at, when he took over. Turning round a failing business in any industry takes time. You of all people should know this Fordy ! In the meantime he is trying to improve things off the field, ready for the return of fans.

 

Didn’t look good we won 2-0 at champions Cheltenham took 4 points of Cambridge put 4 past Forest green and went what was 14 matches with only one defeat we did look good.
