I think you're right Simon. Sparks has the biggest job to do and he'll be judged on that as CEO over the coming months. T&S haven't been able to take us to another level - does he stick or twist? If he sticks, does he bring in more support and wiser wisdom to T&S? If so, who? It's going to be a massive summer for us, in terms of future progress for the club.

I don't for a minute think that everything will change all at once but there are people at the club who have been there for most of the years of our decline and it's hard to remove the negativity while they're still there. Of course, Rupp and Sparks won't leave but many more need to. I've watched City for 60 years and throughout that we've very rarely had the dynamic and ruthless approach needed for success. Sparks comes over to me as the kind of bloke who knows all the cliches and soundbites but is really all about himself. Like others on here I've come across countless people like him over the years and they can be quite dangerous in any organisation. He also sounds a bit dim to me. Whether he's a success or not only time will tell, and if he is fine. But at the moment we've got an uninterested and inexperienced owner, an inexperienced CEO and a very inexperienced management duo. That doesn't fill me with any confidence at all. And when you add in the almost total lack of talent on the pitch I don't think it's going too far too say that unless we see huge change throughout the club not much is going to change next year.

Oh do you think Sparks noticed that Rupp did nothing, so just had to do nothing himself. Not leave! Continue doing his job and because the owner seemed disinterested, Rhodes staying but making it clear he won't be there for that long then all he had to do was sit tight.

Look, Sparks is better that Rhodes. Rhodes was shocking but you have question Sparks with contract lengths at the minute and is he a winning! He says the fear losing drives him but I want to hear the drive of winning.

Sparks won't be here for long. I feel he will looking to use his title as a stepping stop now. Sparks isn't the issue but Rupp is massively.

Haven’t been able to take us to the next level. When they took over we were heading to the level below and they turned it round ,A few bad results doesn’t change that. They have earned their contract for next season

It's like groundhog day on here ... in perpetuity!

If Rupp is the issue, what do you propose (in practical terms) the fans can do to resolve the issue as you see it?

Fans can't do anything. But he's still an issue.

Not sit and do nothing. I think fans in the last couple of weeks have highlighted fan power.

If we wanted Rupp out we could drive him out for sure.

You and many others appear to want him out. What's stopping you from driving him out, as you describe it, since you clearly believe you can?

Let's hear about some practical suggestions for once rather than just rhetoric.

But who would spearhead that and how would it happen? I suggest you Fordy to embrace this fan power and lead us on to glorious pastures new. Go for it, Fordy!

People predicting struggle, can you give me the lottery numbers for tonight.
This season has very little bearing on next season. last year Morecambe lower bottom half, this top half, maybe promotion
Carlisle similar. Different season , new squad , crowds back , no one knows what will happen. Football is the ultimate lottery.

Bradford City fans are easy to please.

Cheap season tickets to pull the wool over their eyes.

No mate it pleasing that fans are waking up at last though.

I wonder how many times we have been 14th as an average (10th - 18th - would likely be a statistically acceptable range for the amount of time we have been in this league historically) and have not been promoted ?

In other words, there is no mathematically plausible link between promotion and the club's previous season's mid-table league position in the khazi :(

Wish there was though..... we're going up.....we're going up.......get the open top bus out next May!!!:p:p:D

But would you lead this movement forward to change things? Or do you just talk the talk?

I don't understand the suggestion of bringing in someone experienced to 'oversee' T&S.

Unless I'm missing something they're hardly a valuable, precocious talent that we must nurture at all costs.

Just give them their old jobs back and bring in a manager with experience at scrapping at this level
(Yes I'm aware that doesn't guarantee anything!).

As I said yesterday, a bug lump of reality is needed for the support base.

Big changes would potentially be great but that ain't gonna happen. The nucleus of the squad may already be here with additions from our level maybe and young players from maybe the league(s) above us. And I'm very certain T&S will be here...

As for Rupp, yep love him gone but he's commander in chief so that be what it is.

As for league positions or prediction, far too early.

I don't know why I take it so seriously after all these years. When I first started watching City we were usually mid to lower division 4. We had a Conservative prime minister who went to Eton. The previous prime minister also went to Eton. The only recent difference is that Theresa May got in the way. Why do I ever think things will change?

Ah ha! A sneaky Alan Partridge-esque reply!
