    There's loads of free films like this on the BFI website (there's also a free app if you've got a smart TV) and the search options include things like location and subject so you can easily go down a few rabbit holes and lose a few hours finding weird and wonderful bits of history.

    I'm a big fan of this 1947 road safety film produced by West Riding police which has not aged at all well and as a result is a thoroughly entertaining watch:
