Entertaining game but frustrating performance. Thought we were uncharacteristically sloppy with a lot of lost possession, misplaced passes and general lack of quality at key times.

Agree with others I thought Kelly had a great game but also thought T. Wright looked lively when he came on. Surprised again to see Lapslie overlooked.

Not like that though. He was calling him out way above the conventional level for that situation. I get that he was frustrated and he's clearly committed but it seemed a bit performative to me. He was frustrated and it felt like he wanted the fans to know it and he decided Halliday was an easy option to 'dig out'.

Maybe Halliday deserved ot, it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe I need to watch it back. It looked like Halliday had an option to play someone into the area on his outside but he choose to shoot. I dont remember it being a huge error, just frustrating that we all knew the whistle was going as soon as they attack ended.

Maybe it just didn't sit right because it's Halliday.

There’s frustration because with each of these draws with been the team left disappointed as we haven’t settled for a point and kept pushing for the winner. If we can’t win we don’t lose though and that’s a positive. Need Bobby back asap and a few centre halves. Metcalfe’s needless booking was frustrating as he looked brilliant again

Totally agree. It wasn't pretty but was never going to be given the players we are missing. On another day we could have nicked it at the end. 10 days till our next league game so hopefully we'll have a few back by then

I love Halliday but thought the difference between him and Neufville really showed when he came on tonight. Seemed to pick the ball up in lots of spaces you want Neufville. With the injuries we have a lot of so called ‘back ups’ doing a job though and they’ve stood up well. Disappointed with Swan and Kav tonight though Humphrey’s and Pointon would have offered a lot more in my opinion

Been a long time since we had a player like Power as captain. Gotta go back a good while where you find a captain that actually gave a toss and demanded high expectations from his team mates at this club. Amongst the average performances today, id say he and Kelly were the pick of the bunch

You could have stopped that post at 7 words.

What does he offer? He can't pass, doesn't challenge defenders, runs into places that are impossible to pass to and wastes time chasing back passes so is offside and can't compete when the ball comes back.

    Not a league one footballer

Power is the best captain we have had in years and that's his job he just wants to win cannot fault that at all.Like a few say we would have taken 2nd going Into November at the start of the season I believe this is going to be a special season with a special group of players once a few back we kick on again keep behind the squad.

He got into positions where you would want neufville ordinarily, and actually halliday looked more threatening in the 20 mins he was on than than neufville was in the previous 70.

Not sure if the games have caught up with him but he was off it tonight. I'm like a dog with a bone about it but I wish he'd attack his full back more and cross the damn ball

    As a winger/attacking midfielder?

    Not a lot.

He is an out and out striker and a decent poacher.

Did he pick up an injury when he seemed to collide with the wall at the bottom of the Kop?
    He was subbed shortly after.

Agree. Kelly was a rock at the back , easily the MOTM.
A draw was a fair result.

Absolutely this they were in the play offs last year and are up there again a very tough team to play against. We are in a very good position one of which we would have been over the moon with at the start of the season

They were a big team and I think defence would've been pretty much the same if all were fit, with Tilt or Kelly at LCB. Bryne still gives me palpations when he receives the ball. He needs an extra touch or extra couple of seconds to process that the ball is at his feet and was almost caught out a few times. Is this the reason Neufville didn't bomb forward as much? I can see Pennington and Halliday starting on Saturday.

I'm not sure what Lapslie has done to GA but he's never been given a run of games, just like Leigh. Interesting that both came in January. Were they panic buys and now GA doesn't really know what to do with them?

It was simply down to frustration once they hit the dressing room or even before it would have died down.
Me personally i like the fact that players give a shit about not winning games than walking off into the night not giving a shit , happy to roll on to the next game not caring one bit about the power.
Power is effective gives out rollockings and cares and thats we all want in a captain

On another note. I think they should edit the video they play for "Take me home", to include the last minute winner and scenes against Fleetwood.
