Stevenage are the most anti-football team I've seen so far this season.

I think we missed Pattison. Power was decent but they bossed us first half and it was a tough test for Metcalfe.

we had them on the ropes for the last 25 mins or so but a point was prob fair.

they are a well organised and physical side. Before today i expected them to drop away, but after seeing the problems they caused our (backup) side today (I know we were missing 5-6 starters) I think they are up there on merit and could stay in the hunt.

still think Bolton and Stockport are the best two but we’ll be up there if injury woes lessen. Grant surely gets sacked for Town and they’ll fly up the table. Cardiff and Stevenage too.

Really pleased with the way we stand up to anyone in this league. Previously we would have lost games like today. We seem to have a bit of steel about us and a never say die attitude.

Great point considering we were missing Sars and Humps.

Glad to see us take hold of the game once Cook and Lapslie came on.

All in all a really solid start to the season. Joint top.

The one who I am almost certain will come with the aim to defend and fustrait is Burton. They seem to really like playing the higher up sides, so far they've got 15 points but 10 of them have come against Wimbledon, Cardiff, Bolton and Huddersfield. Away from home they've only conceded 6 goals so they can defend and fustrait.

I thought he played really well, gave them something to think about besides Neuf on the right . Their fullback /wingback couldn’t get forward which nullified them in the second half , but the ref fell for their Evans type football too much. He was a pretty poor official who I bet has never played pro footy in his life . They old manned him big style in the first half.

Maybe I saw it differently in the ground but I thought Metcalfe did well. He was definitely a better fit today than Leigh because when the ball wasn't flying over the midfielders heads, it was pinballing around the midfield and needed someone to get stuck in, which he did.

Power naturally shows up as more involved as he takes all our free kicks and drops deep at times for the ball so he's more visible.

Good point in the circumstances. I feared the worst when I saw that team and the amount of quality missing up front and at the back.

Stevenage are a horrible side to play. Team full of bullies and no interest in playing football but they make it difficult and we stood up to the challenge well. If we had a couple of those injured available I think we would've won fairly comfortably.

Chance to go back top on Tuesday and hopefully we'll have a couple of players back.

Special word for the referee. Absolutely diabolical from the first minute and if I didn't know better I would've thought he had a bet on Stevenage.

Wright was ill and threw up in the tunnel just before the second half. Should Wright have even started the game?

Agree Metcalfe’s better than Leigh. Wouldn’t wanna see Leigh starting but for in emergencies.

The way it was worded by Alexander it seemed like it came out of nowhere 30 seconds before the 2nd half so doesn't sound like he was ill before the match or at least he didn't tell anyone he was ill.

Agreed - bizarre. Lapslie excellent then he came on - deserves more game time
