Silly boy!

 

Hope the so called fans outside the Bradford arms on Saturday get the same. Sadly we have to walk that way from town with the little ones.

 

We go to pretty much every away game and always look for a pub close to the ground. Never had any kind of trouble like that. Must be a Bradford City chav fan thing.
It’s no wonder we hardly ever see away fans in any of the city centre or North Parade pubs before home games. Sad really that visiting fans don’t feel safe having a drink when visiting us.

 

See away fans in the city centre pubs pretty much every game. i had a drink with a few Huddersfield fans post match in the centre. Plod have Manningham Lane pretty well policed bar the odd skirmish bar the Barnsley game which was dealt with fairly quickly. I ain't gonna condone trouble at football but it's not the problem at Bradford some are making out. I've walked the route from the city centre to Valley Parade for years, could count on one hand with fingers to spare the amount of times I've seem what can be described as trouble. More chance getting run over by local Formula one drivers.

 

I always see away fans in the city centre, every game.

 

Is it the odd few or en-masse like is often at our away games?

 

The Huddersfield game was much worse outside the Bradford Arms but for some reason it went largely unreported.

 

That is surprising in a world where anything dramatic is picked upon by the press and social media. With every man and his dog having a camera phone it's not like it can be hidden away.

 

I walked through it and it was raining glasses and bottles. A lot more than the handbags against Barnsley. A bottle missed me on the other side of the street by about a foot and smashed in front of me.

 

I'm not questioning what you personally saw, just that any shred of trouble gets plastered all over the media yet this didn't. I didn't see any trouble that day, I was in town a few hours before kick off with my lad. We even commented how apathetic it was for a anticipated local derby.

 

I can't say for sure what time it was but we were in the ground about 9-10 minutes later and the players were mid warm-up.

 

A lot of it depends on the behaviour/attitude of the away fans doesn't it

There was deffo bother at the Barnsley and Town game outside the Bradford arns the sad thing now with it being all over the net its gonna attract even more loons.

Seem to recall the last time there was bother there prior to this season was the Carlisle play off match

 

If that shows it all then the difference is the amount of police outside the pub compared to the Barnsley game. Looks pretty well policed to me, a lot of gesticulating and shouting but very much under control whereas the Barnsley game for a time there was one individual officer waiting for back up.

 

Sorry bud i thought you was on about the Barnsley game ............maybe the kick off time had a big bearing on any bother
