A very very well written post I too have watched the Manchester City documentary and feel all clubs especially ours can learn a hell of a lot from it These multi millionaires are a team on and off the pitch they have a tremendous bond between them which extends to the manager chairman and owner who are always there for each other. The chairman leaves the playing side to the manager the owner leaves all the decisions to the chairman and never the twain shall meet Even the kitman (a great character) has the affection of the players. Confidence happiness and contempment start at the top and filter down They are like one big family and talk over any problems not a " there's the door attitude" which proves non Englishmen (hope that's acceptable) can run a successful club the ENGLISH way. Guardiola is a friend to the players well capable as we saw of blasting his players and by the same token putting an arm round the shoulder when needed without interference from above. I know we are and always will be light years away from Manchester City and am not certain I could follow a club like that. The WHOLE staff at Bradford City should be made to watch the series and strive to be somewhere near as professional as these guys.

The fact that they have a budget that can even blow Manchester United out of the water helps. They are one of the reasons I no longer watch the Premiership the only competition there is who has the biggest pockets.

I myself can no longer watch premiership for the same reason you miss the point however A bond exists throughout the club from the owner to the fans,That doesn't cost anything and something that all but a few on here realize sadly doesn't exist at City

Your strange use of language suggests that you are someone who has learned English rather than having it as your native tongue. How interesting.

    You’re wrong about the budget.
Man United have the highest wage bill of any team in any sport across the world. Doesn’t show like, but it’s true.

In terms of wages you are correct although they are almost identical but when you take in transfers

Not sure how long that's over. They're both obscenely wealthy though. I think their spending power is about equal, all told. They shop in the same stores, put it that way. City spend much more wisely though.

Not sure if it's changed since November but they are 3rd in this list.

You are sadly missing the point
Fans (the lifeblood of any club) follow a club because it's "Their Club" in spite of its wealth or lack of it speak to a supporter of a non league club and there are plenty about if they prefer to watch a team with endeavor and effort or a display like we put on last Saturday and I know the answer to that
Football in the higher leagues is sadly all about money but not every fan is blinkered by it

The thing that brings harmony is success. Do well and everything in the garden is rosy. In all my time supporting the Club I have never known a better atmosphere than the glory season everybody pulling in the same direction. Having huge pots of money helps lose a couple like United and everything is doom and gloom. Unlikely as it may seem at this moment wins at Blackpool and Fleetwood things would look very different

    Agree
At the moment I don't think we have the recipe for either harmony or success
All the grumbling voices want to see is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel something that's not been apparent since the Yeovil debacle Reading this forum for the last 8 months has seen the number of disgruntled fans grow massively Show them a way out either long or short term and I guarantee the mood would lift Lots were happier in the old Div 4 at least there was a sense of community about the club

We had it in the first year of McCalls second spell. I went with my lad to the POTY awards, i've never seen a squad so tight knit as that one, everyone playing for the manager and all together as a team. Not sure the hierarchy of the club were on the same wavelength though.

I recall seeing a report recently that showed the Manchester clubs of united and city spent roughly the same amount on transfers and wages. Not sure where Park has got those figures from but they don't replicate the ones i saw in the report.

Spot on. And what’s happened to those great Legends nights, which brought fans and ex players together..... oh that’s right the hierarchy have managed to alienate our Legends also.

How gullible are people to believe this rubbish in The Daily Mail. The article is a rehash of Edin’s interview in The Times a few weeks ago which was much more sympathetic. This is a disgusting shit-stirring article.

Probably as gullible as those feckwits that believe a tweet on a fake Twitter account and then spend their time responding to said tweet (whilst the host of the spoof username pisses him/herself).

The one thing you do notice with the highest paid players is the incredible work rate they put in to every game even when having a poor game the work rate never flags,
