In 95/96 we needed to beat Hull on the last day (I was there with 7000 - a belting game and lots of bother) - cant remember if in our hands though. Anyway, we rode our luck that season.

I remember an old biddy near the ground invited my 23 year old self and friend into her house for tea to keep us safe when we got caught in the trouble outside the ground. Absolutely mental experience.

Very much agree. I was impressed by this guy - rare in L2 this season. The ref was sensible, gave leeway and benefit of the doubt to players on both sides throughout the game and gave a few players a little 'tutoring' about what might happen next if they re-offended, rather than willfully throwing around yellows for minor infringements. Fair minded and very solid performance from the ref.

 

Oh come on! It's got to be a screamer from Bobby Pointon, the young man who represents our future.
