The last game of the season holds significant importance to us anyway, but this time, after a huge win at Barrow, the on-the-field matters are also very important this time.

With the ST early bird deadline also looming, is it too late to run a little promo of some sort to try and capitalise on the upturn in morale among the fans from recent weeks?

cut price tickets for the Newport game to try fill the ground?

use your ticket stub from Saturday to get x discount on the current shirt stock the shop need to shift?

use Newport match ticket to get money back off the price of a ST for next year?

    anyone got any suggestions?

Buy into the current goodwill and extend the deadline by a week

Nah, announce an additional price increase if not bought on Saturday. It’s a bantam thing.

Extend it by a week if we win but don't make the playoffs, and 48 hours if we do. Get people to make their minds up fast before any mishaps in the semis.

I think the club should do half year season tickets.. usually by new year you pretty much know where you will end up in the league so you have a choice to pay for more crap or leave for that season alternatively you renew if the club are really going for it!

On that basis season ticket income would be HALVED for the 23/24 season…..Not a chance is that sound business. In fact it’s stupid.

I wish you wouldn’t label ppl as stupid because they come up with an idea that you don’t like or agree with. I think you will find more take up on half season tickets due to being relaxed and the ability to wave the second half. It is a very creative and interesting idea.

To be fair to Kev on this one, it's the idea he is labelling as stupid, not the poster and whilst it could possibly have been worded better, I do agree that from a business pov, it's commercial suicide.

I certainly DID NOT say ANYONE WAS STUPID. I said it would be a STUPID BUSINESS DECISION.

The person I was responding to has no choice in the decision so how am I referring to him/ her.?

I suggest you read it again? Christ on a bike.

Our tickets at £250 are still cheap enough for people to not attend , if we are having a poor season.
Although why you would buy a ticket and not attend is beyond me. Thick and thin etc.
It will be interesting to see how ticket sales for both Saturday and next season go before the Friday cut off for both.

The 1/2 season ticket wouldn't simply be half the price of a full season ticket though would it..... You'd pay a premium for the flexibility it provided to bow out in January. It could provide an income boost in January if we've made a decent start too. It's not a stupid idea. But I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a good idea. It's one with risks though

    Thank you.

I wouldn’t change the wording though. No need, it explains what is stupid not who.

That's a different proposition to what the poster is proposing though. They're suggesting it should be available from the start of the season, which is why it is a terrible idea.

I am not sure it would really benefit the club.
Lets say we are doing well and attracting 2 to 3000 paying £20 on the gate, then give them the option of £10 in January.
Form could fall off and we would be ok, money in bank, but money lost if we carry on wining.

Grab your season ticket by Saturday 27th April 15:00 and get a 10% off voucher for the club store and be entered into a draw for exclusive access to next seasons shirt launch or free tickets to a pre season game etc?

The half season tickets would work however if only for covering the second half of the season.

Get them on sale in December for christmas presents etc. if the club were doing well, even knocking them out at £175 for ten games would equate to bums on seats, guaranteed income and a one game saving for the customer (i think)

    All for Saturday only.

Get plenty of beer on sale, get all the kiosks open to reduce queues and encourage sales.

Keep them open after half time when it could become squeeky bum time and people need a beer.

Get another shipping container outside for Saturday, keep it open after the match if we are successful.

Sell flags outside the ground as we go in.

Sell packets of "calms" as we go in (other brands are available)

Set up a fag stall in the smoking area to calm the nerves (£5 a fag would be reasonable).

Rent out cushions on entry so when we squirm in our seats the pain is lessened.

Add spirits to the alcohol sales (no mixers).

    Sell Graham Alexander face masks.

Sell tickets to allow people on the pitch at full time.

Have a raffle at £50 a pop to go on the beer with Andy Cook after the final whistle.

Auction a place in the dressing room after the match.

A lot of clubs right across the EFL and non league already do, never understood why City don't
