Score Prediction Betting thread ....

How does it work?

 

The general idea.....
Erm....each week @The Voice makes his/her match prediction.
Entrants place a £1 bet on that prediction and place a £1 on their own prediction.
A "friendly" competition between entrants and @The Voice and yourself but also a "friendly" competition amongst ourselves with monies raised at the end of the season being donated to the Burns unit.
I know you could just donate £92 but where's the fun in that?....
Sound ok to everyone?

 

I like it - although I think it would be good to have a 'pot' that we can build every time (lol) someone wins money?

It would be nice to see if grow week by week. For me as someone playing, I'd just rather the money goes straight in somewhere - but I'm not sure how that would work? PayPal? Just Giving?

 

Keep a record of the winnings between everyone who wants to join then end of season just send all monies in one but would need someone to collect or send too then they can deposit

 

Maybe we can do both/either?

If we set up a Just Giving, anyone can donate at any time - either week-by-week, or all at once at the end of the season?

 

I suppose it’s up to the individual how they want it to be sent but we could do it as a group from here then when it appears on there just giving page it might make people know about the forum if they have never heard of it then they join and hopefully join in

Have you been placing bets on the scoreline only? Not goalscorers like the Prediction League. £2.00 per game? Could be up for this....not a betting man but adds another level of interest.....

 

Yes, just £2 on the predicted score. No fannying about with complicated bets. I'm not really a betting man either I just had the idea at the beginning of the season to try raise a bit of money for the Burns Unit. Please feel free to join up for next season, the more the merrier.

Hmm. Someone could do first goalscorer for something a bit different. Maybe I'll do that with my 2 quid?
