It is how you go into the playoffs beating everyone in sight. We have to learn and fast. Invest in quality no room for sentiment.

 

We’ve won 8 out of 22 at home this season.

It’s been an issue for the last few years and needs sorting or we will be saying the same things this time next season.

 

That has to be a priority next season were such an easy touch at home and have been for several seasons

Correct. It's far worse than last season, when there were eight outstanding sides.

Stockport and Mansfield have merely just needed to tweak their squads to get themselves up (or nearly up in Mansfield's case) and they've both had plenty of ordinary performances - not least three of the four matches they played against us)

Very frustrating that we could end up within a few points of the play-offs.

But it also shows, throwing all the players out and starting again isn't the answer. I'd wager if we had Pattison for half the season and Walker for three-quarters, we'd be at least where Crawley is.

And we've easily had our biggest number of terrible games, since we got relegated - showing how poor the division has been this season.

Now the pressure is off City have gone on another little run,

Granted they have been against some pretty poor teams like tranmere/grimsby/gillingham and now salford,

But they all count points wise.

We did to a degree, but Pattison's been injured all season. Not making excuses, but to me he's been a big miss as he looked very good when he played.

I think his and Kavanagh's pace / energy / tenacity is something to look forward to - if Pattison can keep himself fit.

 

Remind me again how many goals has Pattison scored this season!

 

Funny old game Mark Bower was impressed with Smallwood's all round game maybe us fans put to much emphasis on his free kicks, breaking attacks down in midfield and supplied two chances for Cook and Kavanagh that we should have taken.

 

We did what we always do “penny pinched” We brought in a player prone to injury to replace an injured player. We needed to be brave and dug deep, and brought in a good midfielder that other clubs also wanted and paid up!

 

Exactly - now the pressures off! Illustrates serious lack of backbone especially at home with those 3 defeats on the spin, when the play offs were there for anyone capable of putting a run together.
I just hope that recent results do not deter us from the major rebuild that has to happen, starting with the woeful midfield.

Another win but before the mass hysteria starts that we aint a bad team really ..........go back a few weeks when we had a decent chance of getting in and how easily we fell apart when it really mattered.
